연구에서는 기존의 탄소섬유쉬트, 탄소섬유판과 재료역학적 성질은 동등하면서도 부착성능 및 내구성, 시공성, 경제성, 구조성능 등이 우수하고 현장 품질관리가 용이한 고성능 탄소섬유 보강재 즉, 매입형 FRP봉을 개발하고, 이와 첨단NIT센서를 융합하여 건축물의 안전성 확보와 효율적인 유지관리를 위하여 안전모니터링 시스템을 구축하고자 하는 연구이다.
In addition, as the study on the improvement of structural performance of building and construction of safety monitoring system through the utilization of the smart reinforcing materials fused with NIT sensors and FRP, this study was performed by applying those materials to the reinforced concrete beam-column joint in order to verify the structural performance and improvement performance of the smart reinforcing materials. By comparing with the basis of the result obtained through the test, the level of improvement of structural performance was evaluated, and safety monitoring of structure was performed through the reinforcing materials and fused sensors. According to the test, the structural performance of reinforced concrete beam and beam-column joint applied with smart reinforcing materials was improved, and according to the safety monitoring of structure, stable sensor measuring information could be obtained. Based on the test results, it was confirmed that Advanced NIT Sensor and FRP Composition Smart Reinforcement improved the structural performance as the reinforcing materials of structure, and the real time monitoring based on internet for securing the safety of construction structure was smoothly carried out.

This study developed the pressure measurement monitoring system named VIP-2000 for monitoring a pressure of ullage space in cargo tank. VIP-2000 is designed in compliance with IMO(international maritime organization) SOLAS 74, Chap. II-2 Req. 59. IMO is providing the establishment of a pressure measurement equipment for secure the stability from vacuum or the overpressure that caused by in breakdown of the P/V valve. VIP-2000 operates the early warning of the visible and audibility in dangerous situation of cargo tank. In order to evaluate the performance of VIP-2000, the pressure measurement experiments have been conducted.

개인용 혈당측정 시스템은 식이조절, 인슐린 투여량 조절 등 당뇨환자 관리에 중요한 역할을 하는 의료기기로 서 정확도에 대한 성능기준 강화에 대한 인식이 전 세계적으로 강조되어 왔다. 국제표준화기구(International Organization for Standardization; ISO)는 2013년 5월 15일에 성능평가 기준을 강화한 ISO 15197:2013 개정판을 발간하였고, 식품의약품안전처(MFDS)에서는 개정된 국제규격을 반영한 국내 의료기기 기준규격이 현재 개정중에 있다. 그러나 최 근 개인용 혈당측정 시스템 제조업체, 의료기기 시험검사기관 및 관련 연구자들의 민원에 의하면 새로운 기준규격 적 용 시 평가 항목에 대한 모호한 설명으로 어려움을 호소하고 있는 실정이다. 식품의약품안전처에서는 개정된 ISO 15197:2013을 반영한 기준규격 개정을 앞두고, 과학적인 검증방법을 통하여 국제 조화된 개인용 혈당측정 시스템의 표준시험방법 가이드라인을 개발하여 제조업체와 시험검사기관을 위한 효율적인 성능평가 수행을 위한 기반을 마련 하였다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 개발된 표준시험방법 가이드라인은 향후 개인용 혈당측정 시스템을 연구·개발하는 의료기기 제조업체, 의료기기 시험검사기관 및 연구자들이 평가 지침서로서 활용 가능하여 우리나라 의료기기 국제 경쟁력 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
Self-Monitoring Blood Glucose test system is a medical device crucial for diabetes management, including dietary control and insulin dosage control, and there has been a worldwide emphasis on strengthening the standard for its performance evaluation on its accuracy. On May 15, 2013, the International Organization for Standardization have published the amendment of ISO 15197:2013 which strengthened the evaluation standard. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) is currently preparing the amendment of the domestic medical device standard specification incorporating the amended international standard specification. However, according to the manufacturers of personal blood glucose monitoring system, medical device testing agencies, and related researchers, they found it difficult to utilize the new standard specification due to ambiguous explanation on the test items. The MFDS developed a standard test guideline of an internationally harmonized personal blood glucose monitoring system through scientific verification before the amendment of standard specification incorporating the amendment of ISO 15197:2013. The guideline established the foundation for efficient performance evaluation by manufacturers and testing agencies. The standard test guideline developed in this study is expected to be used by medical device manufacturers of personal blood glucose monitoring system, medical device testing agencies and related researchers as an evaluation guidance. Thus it is expected to contribute to strengthening international competitiveness of Korean medical devices.

Dam deformation monitoring is quite important. Monitoring of dam deformation is important for ensuring people's normal lives and reducing losses. Dam deformation often experiences a relatively long time. The deformation rate is relatively small at the beginning time, and it is large at the later stage. Monitoring at the early stage of dam deformation is of great significance. The wireless sensor network has the characteristics of not being affected by the terrain, convenient arrangement and so on, which can be used to monitor the deformation of the dam. In order to improve the transmission efficiency of the wireless sensor network, data compression is helpful for the energy savings and transmission rate improving. In this paper, a dam monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks is developed. In this paper, a dam monitoring system based on wireless sensor network and GPS multi antenna is developed. In the network monitoring system and data acquisition using wireless sensor module, data transmission using data compression technology and data cache technology. At the end of the monitoring terminal, desktop cloud technology is used to process the data collected and show the real time dam deformation condition. This method can also be used in other object motion or deformation with large range and other monitoring field to improve the monitoring efficiency.

Aiming at some problems in the process of UPS battery real-time monitoring, on the basis of the cloud terminal technology is proposed in this paper, a new method of remote online monitoring, and based on MSP430 single chip microcomputer, combined with modular guiding ideology, in order to improve the UPS battery remote monitoring automation as the core, through the reasonable design of hardware structure, the implementation of UPS battery on-line real-time monitoring of voltage, current and temperature. At the same time, the system based on ADO database access technology and C++ programming to complete the data management, human-computer interaction, and system control, by the cloud terminal implementation monitoring system data transmission between lower place machine and super-ordination machine. Practice has proved that the technology security and stability, has the very good practical and promotional value.

Cloud computing is a computing paradigm of providing IT resources, such as infrastrcture, platform and application, in the form of service by using internet technology. In recent, cloud platform service is being used to establish the platform ecosystem of ICT service industry and ensure application agility. In spite of these trends, the market is not being actively revitalized due to sudden service interruption, users’ concern for failure or lack of compatibility between cloud systems. This paper proposes a reliable cloud service for providing objective, quantitative and measureable performance results on cloud service. In particular, this paper will define the scope for measuring the system performance of VM for IaaS among various areas of cloud service, while focusing on the area of requirements to deduce performance measurement items.

For the case of each unit battery status parameter of UPS is unpredictable, this paper develops a remote monitoring system, through the connection of local monitoring software and remote monitoring software, interacting database and human-computer to complete this system. Practice has proved that this system can secure stable operation and better meet the requirements of the UPS battery remote monitoring technology.

To analyze responses under open fault conditions in switching devices, a performance investigation and condition monitoring scheme are presented through an integrated simulation study of a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based variable-speed grid-connected wind power system. Among various faults in power electronics components, the open fault in switching devices may arise due to the destruction of switches by an accidental over current or the forced disconnection for protection. When the switch open fault occurs in the generator-side converter, the grid-side inverter as well as the generator-side converter does not operate normally, resulting in an increase of the current harmonics and a reduction in generated output and efficiency. As an effective way of the condition monitoring for the generation system by online basis without requiring any diagnostic apparatus, the estimation schemes for the generated voltage, flux linkage, and stator resistance are proposed in this paper and the validity of the proposed scheme is proved through comparative simulations.

최근에 및 온도관리는 현대 컴퓨터 시스템의 주요 관심사로 대두되고 있다. 에너지의 효율성은 모바일과 임베디드 시스템의 중요한 특성이다. 최근의 고성능 모바일 프로세서의 에너지 요구 증가와 짧은 배터리 수명, 발열로 인한 에너지 손실 등으로 인한 전력소모 때문에 전력과 에너지 소모를 줄이기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 성능 카운터를 이용하여 Intel XScale 마이크로아키텍춰 기반인 Marvell PXA320 프로세서에 대한 주파수/전압 변경과 성능 모니터링을 구현하였다. 또한, Windows CE 운영체제 환경의 응용프로그램에 대하여 DVFS 구성에 따른 각각의 벤치마크로 측정하고, 성능 이벤트에 따른 성능 카운터 값을 측정하고, 성능 카운터 값을 CPU의 전압과 전류와 동기화된 데이터를 랩뷰로 사용하여 측정하였다. 또한, 성능 모니터링으로 측정한 데이터를 기반으로 전력관리 기법을 위한 스케쥴링이 가능하고, 측정한 전압과 전류로 실제 전력 소모량 파악이 가능하였다.
Recently, Power and thermal management are becoming major concerns in computer system design. The energy efficiency is an important attribute of the mobile and embedded systems. Today's powerful mobile processors needs more energy and longer battery life. Many research has been focused to reduce energy consumption for the mobile processors.In this paper, performance monitoring system for the Power-management techniques is implemented for Intel's XScale microarchitecture-based Marvell PXA320 processor on Windows CE platform. It also provides software interface for changing DVFS configuration. Performance and power consumption are measured for benchmark programs through performance counter value and voltage/current measurements on LabVIEW platform. By using the developed monitoring system, it is possible for dynamic power management to track processor's workload and to determine the actual power consumption.
The Development of Monitoring System for Performance Evaluation of Solar Hot Water Heater

The application of solar energy, in the field of alternative energy, was on the increase tendency. In the case of advanced nations, through continuous R&D, solar hot water heater with high efficiency has been used for the house and the industrial process on business, advanced nations were reached up the experimental stage of solar generation system. But, the actual circumstance of the domestic has been not accomplished the popularization of solar hot water heater and the settlement of it which is the fundamental stage of the solar energy usage. This trouble, the domestic was flooded with small enterprise for producing solar hot water heater, was caused by the popularization and the production without verification of performance. To supply the monitoring program for evaluating solar hot water heater, this research was purpose to improve the technical development of the enterprise for producing solar-heat hot-water-boiler and served as an aid for the enlargement and the popularization on solar energy.

Power grid techniques are distributed over general power systems ranging from power stations to power transmission, power distribution, and users. To monitor and control the elements and performance of a power system in real time in the extensive area of power generation, power transmission, wide-area monitoring (WAM) and control techniques are required (<xref>Sattinger et al. 2007</xref>). Also, to efficiently operate a power grid, integrated techniques of information and communication technology are required for the application of communication network and relevant equipment, computing, and system control software. WAM should make a precise power grid measurement of more than once per cycle by time synchronization using GPS. By collecting the measurement values of a power grid from substations located at faraway regions through remote communication, the current status of the entire power grid system can be examined. However, for GPS that is used in general national industries, unexpected dangerous situations have occurred due to its deterioration and jamming. Currently, the power grid is based on a synchronization system using GPS. Thus, interruption of the time synchronization system of the power system due to the failure or abnormal condition of GPS would have enormous effects on each field such as economy, security, and the lives of the public due to the destruction of the synchronization system of the national power grid. Developed countries have an emergency substitute system in preparation for this abnormal situation of GPS. Therefore, in Korea, a system that is used to prepare for the interruption of GPS reception should also be established on a long-term basis; but prior to this, it is required that an evaluation technique for the time synchronization performance of a GPS receiver using an atomic clock within the power grid. In this study, a monitoring system of time synchronization based on GPS at a power grid was implemented, and the results were presented.
Markov chain-based mass estimation method for loose part monitoring system and its performance

A loose part monitoring system is used to identify unexpected loose parts in a nuclear reactor vessel or steam generator. It is still necessary for the mass estimation of loose parts, one function of a loose part monitoring system, to develop a new method due to the high estimation error of conventional methods such as Hertz's impact theory and the frequency ratio method. The purpose of this study is to propose a mass estimation method using a Markov decision process and compare its performance with a method using an artificial neural network model proposed in a previous study. First, how to extract feature vectors using discrete cosine transform was explained. Second, Markov chains were designed with codebooks obtained from the feature vector. A 1/8-scaled mockup of the reactor vessel for OPR1000 was employed, and all used signals were obtained by impacting its surface with several solid spherical masses. Next, the performance of mass estimation by the proposed Markov model was compared with that of the artificial neural network model. Finally, it was investigated that the proposed Markov model had matching error below 20% in mass estimation. That was a similar performance to the method using an artificial neural network model and considerably improved in comparison with the conventional methods.
Performance Evaluation of a BACnet-based Fire Detection and Monitoring System for use in Buildings

The objective of this paper is to propose a reference model of a fire detection and monitoring system using MS/TP protocol. The reference model is designed to satisfy the requirements of response time and flexibility. The reference model is operated on the basis of BACnet, a standard communication protocol for building automation systems. Validity of the reference model was examined using a simulation model. This study also evaluated the performance of the BACnet-based fire detection and monitoring system in terms of network-induced delay. Simulation results show that the reference model satisfies the requirements of the fire detection and monitoring system.
Monitoring and Analysis of 3kW Grid-Connected PV System for Performance Evaluation

Grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems were installed and monitored at the field demonstration test center (FDTC) in Korea in October 2002. Before long-term field testing of installed PV systems, the performances of PV components were evaluated and compared through short-term performance tests of each of the PV system components such as power conditioning system and PV module under standard test conditions. A data acquisition system has been constructed for measuring and analyzing the performance of PV systems to observe the overall effect of environmental conditions on their operation characteristics. Performances of PV systems have been evaluated and analyzed not only for component perspective (PV array, power conditioning unit) but also for global perspective (system efficiency, capacity factor, electrical power energy) by review of the field test and loss factors of the systems. These results indicate that it is highly imperative to develop an optimum design technology of grid connected PV systems. The objective of this paper is not only to evaluate and analyze the performance of domestic PV systems application through long-term field testing at FDTC but also to develop evaluation, analysis and optimum technology for long-term stability and reliability of grid-connected PV systems in Korea.

본 논문은 지상파 기반의 측위·항법·시각(PNT, Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) 서비스의 대표격인 eLoran(enhance LOng RAnge Navigation) 시스템의 시각동기 성능 모니터링 시스템의 설계에 관한 것으로서, GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System)의 신호 취약성에 따른 시각동기시스템의 한계에 대해 설명하고, 이에 대한 백업시스템으로 대표적 지상파항법시스템인 eLoran 시스템의 시각동기 성능모니터링 시스템에 대해 중점적으로 다룬다. eLoran 시스템을 이용한 시각동기 서비스 및 이에 대한 성능감시를 위한 보정기준국(dLoran, differential Loran) 관점에서의 시각동기 성능모니터링 시스템의 구성과 그 요구성능에 대해 설명한다. 또한 eLoran 테스트베드 환경 내 시각동기 모니터링 시스템의 장기 시범운영을 통해서, eLoran 시각동기서비스의 성능을 분석한다. 시각동기 성능모니터링 시스템을 이용한 성능 분석결과 보정 전 43.71 ns, 보정 후 22.52 ns (rms)의 시각정밀도를 나타내었으며, 이를 통해서 정밀시각 동기원으로 eLoran 서비스가 충분히 GPS 백업 시각동기시스템으로 활용이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.
This study addresses on the design of performance monitoring system for the time synchronization service of the enhanced long-range navigation (eLoran) system, which has a representative ground-wave radio broadcast system capable of providing positioning, navigation, timing and data (PNT&D) services. The limitations of time-synchronized systems due to the signal vulnerabilities of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) are explained, and the performance monitoring system for the eLoran timing service as a backup to the GNSS is proposed. The time synchronization service using eLoran system as well as system configurations and the user requirements in the differential Loran (dLoran) system are described to monitor the time synchronization performance. The results of the designed system are presented for long-term operation in the eLoran testbed environment. As the results of time performance monitoring, we were able to verify the time synchronization precision within 43.71 ns without corrections, 22.52 ns with corrections. Based on these results, the eLoran system can be utilized as a precise time synchronization source for GPS timing backup.
