이 연구는 다문화 교육의 체계적인 실행을 위해 개발된 교수·학습 프로그램의 프로 토타입(prototype)을 목표(objective)와 다문화 교육의 내용, 교육방법을 중심으로 분 석하고 향후 프로그램 개발의 시사점을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 2014년~2016년 까지 3년 동안에 프로그램 개발이 가장 활발히 진행되었고 현재는 이보다 줄어 새로운 연구 동력이 필요한 시점이라고 판단하였다. 이를 위하여 주로 초등 고학년 대상, 사회 교육의 관점에서 진행해온 프로그램 개발에서 중등 학습자로 대상을 확대하고 국어교 육 관점의 프로그램 개발이 필요하다고 분석하였다. 또한, 국내 다문화 교육의 목표 (objective)와 내용이 ‘다양성 존중과 이해’에 초점이 맞추어 있음을 지적하였다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 다문화 교육이론을 국내 현실에 맞게 재개념화하고 이를 기반으로 학 습자가 다문화 교육의 궁극적 목적인 ‘사회정의’, ‘사회 실천’을 달성할 수 있는 프로그 램 개발 방향을 제시하였다.

This study analyzes the teaching/learning program prototype developed for the systematic implementation of multicultural education, focusing on multicultural education's objective, content, and teaching methods, and seeks implications for future program development. First, the research result shows that the multicultural teaching/learning program was the most actively developed during the three years from 2014 to 2016. It also indicates that a new motivation for research should emerge, for the development of those programs has currently decreased. Second, the program so far was developed primarily for upper elementary students based on social education. However, from now on, it is necessary to expand the program's target to secondary education learners and develop it from the perspective of Korean language education. Third, the objective and content of the current multicultural education in Korea tend to focus on 'respect and understanding of diversity.' This study suggests that the multicultural education theory should be reconceptualized to fit the situation in Korea. In addition, the program should be developed to enable learners to achieve 'social justice' and 'social practice,' which are the ultimate goals of multicultural education.

This paper is an expanded work for the advanced study 'Theoretical Review of Needs for the Development of Teaching and Learning Program of Intercultural Education Utilizing Digital Image Media and Game Contents’ published in the journal Korean Society for Computer Game. The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the needs for the development of teaching and learning program of intercultural education utilizing digital image media by analyzing the survey targeting 325 undergraduates. The digital image media are regarded as one of the most efficient communication media which can satisfy optical desires of humankind and realize multilateral and sympathetic interchanges using other sense organs. In this context the digital image media are expected to be a very efficient tool of intercultural teaching and learning program. Compared to the class depending on only written text, the class using the digital image media can arouse much more learner’s interest, improve a lot more concentration on learning contents, get even more learning motivation, provide still wider indirect experience for learners.

이 연구의 목적은 다문화가정 학생들의 진로지도를 위한 교수․학습 프로그램 개발 방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 다문화가정 학생들이 있는 초등학교와 중학교 각각 1개 학급을 선정하고, 학급담임과 다문화가정 학생들을 대상으로 관찰과 면담을 실시하였으며, 여기서 도출된 분석 결과를 바탕으로 다문화가정 학생들의 진로지도를 위한 교수․학습 프로그램 개발 방안을 제안하였다. 그 결과 다문화가정 학생들은 한국사회에 적응하고 사회구성원으로 자립하기를 원하고 있었으며, 자신들의 진로에 대해 크게 고민하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학교교육에서는 이들에 대한 진로지도가 거의 이루어지지 않는 것으로 드러났다. 따라서 다문화가정 학생들이 자신의 정체성을 찾음과 동시에 다문화사회에서 건강한 사회구성원으로 살아가도록 하기 위해서는 이들에 대한 진로지도가 강조될 필요성이 제기되었다. 이에 다문화가정 학생들에 대한 진로지도를 위해서는 교육과정에 다문화적 요소를 고려하고, 이를 바탕으로 교과 및 창의적 체험활동에 진로지도를 위한 교수․학습 프로그램의 개발 내용을 구체화시켜야 할 것임을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to search for a plan on the teaching and learning program for career guidance education of multicultural students. For this aim, this study has considered some basic contexts through analysis of materials of observation and interview, and pointing out the vocational hope of multicultural students and teachers’ teaching on the career guidance of multicultural students in elementary and middle school. The results of this study are as follows: First, career guidance on multicultural students have to be designed based on understanding and respect of other culture. Second, it must go on with the sound multicultural students as its guide. Third, it has to provide various activities such as festivals, events, outdoor activities, field trips, and so on. Fourth, it has to provide efficient and concentrate teaching-learning on the career guidance. The suggested plan of teaching and learning program development for career guidance of multicultural students is expected to provide basic materials for multicultural education. Furthermore, it will contribute to development of a multicultural society.
