천리안위성 Ka대역 통신탑재체 제어관리시스템(TMC) KCI 등재후보

2010년 6월 23일 발사되어 동경 128.2도의 정지궤도에서 운용하게 될 천리안위성은 Ka대역 통신실험, 해양탐사 및 기상관측 등을 임무로 하는 복합위성이다. 천리안위성의 세 가지 임무중 Ka대역 통신실험을 목적으로 하는 Ka대역 통신탑재체를 효과적이고 원활하게 운용하기 위해서 통신탑재체 감시/제어관리를 목적으로 하는 Ka 대역 통신탑재체 제어관리 시스템(Transponder Monitoring and Control; TMC)이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 TMC 시스템의 개념과 설계에 대하여 논하도록 한다.

COMS (Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite), which will be launched in June 23rd, 2010 and located on geostationary orbit at the latitude of 128.2oE, is a multi-function satellite for communications, ocean observation, and meteorology. In order to operate Ka-band communication payload effectively, which is one of the three payloads for COMS, the Transponder Monitoring and Control (TMC) system are necessary in ground systems. In this paper, the concepts and design of the TMC system for COMS Ka-band payload are described.

Many forest insect pests and diseases including pine needle gall midge (Thecodiplosis japonensis), black pine bast scale (Matsucoccus thunbergianae), pine wilt disease, and oak wilt disease, have caused serious damage to Korean forest for several decades. For the control of forest insect pests and diseases, synthetic pesticides have been widely used. Although effective, their repeated use for several decades has caused several side effects including environmental and human health concerns, undesirable effects on nontarget organisms, and disruption of biological control by natural enemy. Many Researches have conducted in order to find new and safe type of control agents to reduce environmental and human health concerns. Insect pheromone could be a good candidate for this purpose. Insect pheromone is a chemical that triggers a social response in members of the same species. Until now, thousands of insect pheromone have been identified. These insect pheromone could be classified according to their role. Sex pheromone is usually released by female and attracts male for corpulation. Aggregation pheromone is common in bark and long horn beetles, and used for mass attack on their host plants. In this presentation, we introduce recent research on insect pheromone of tree insect pest in Korea. Field application of insect pheromoen for monitoring and control will be also discussed.

Multivariate cumulative sum (CUSUM) control charts for simultaneously monitoring both means and variances under multivariate normal process are investigated. Performances of multivariate CUSUM schemes are evaluated for matched fixed sampling interval (FSI) and variable sampling interval (VSI) features in terms of average time to signal (ATS), average number of samples to signal (ANSS). Multivariate Shewhart charts are also considered to compare the properties of multivariate CUSUM charts. Numerical results show that presented CUSUM charts are more efficient than the corresponding Shewhart chart for small or moderate shifts and VSI feature with two sampling intervals is more efficient than FSI feature. When small changes in the production process have occurred, CUSUM chart with small reference values will be recommended in terms of the time to signal.

Automated manufacturing systems are applied to shop floors as tools for increase of productivity and quality and the decrease of manufacturing lead times and industry accidents. One of the most important issue of the present day is the application of Internet. The development of Internet technologies makes manufacturing enterprises break spacial barriers between users and shop floors, and collect various field data in remote sites. In this research, an Internet-based remote control system for a small-sized automated storage and retrieval system is developed for the purpose of real-time monitoring and control of automatic production equipment. The developed system has a client-server architecture and sends real-time images of the automated storage and retrieval system to clients by an CCD camera connected to a server.

This study was carried out to develop the technology to manage the growth of mushrooms, which were cultivated based on long-term information obtained from quantified data. In this study, hardware that monitored and controlled the growth environment of the mushroom cultivation house was developed. An algorithm was also developed to grow mushrooms automatically. Environmental management for the growth of mushrooms was carried out using cultivation sites, computers, and smart phones. To manage the environment of the mushroom cultivation house, the environmental management data from farmers cultivating the highest quality mushrooms in Korea were collected and a growth management database was created. On the basis of the database value, the management environment for the test cultivar (hukthali) was controlled at 0.5 °C with 3–7% relative humidity and 10% carbon dioxide concentration. As a result, it was possible to produce mushrooms that were almost similar to those cultivated in farms with the best available technology.

사물인터넷의 국내외 주요 서비스 사례를 통하여 알 수 있듯이 종래 재난, 재해 등 공공 분야와 공장 자동화 등 기업 중심의 사례가 이제는 개인에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 B2C(Business to Consumer) 서비스가 확산되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 시점에서 사물인터넷(IoT) 기반 원격 제어 및 모니터링이 가능한 탐사로봇 설계를 위한 플랫폼과 부품, 그리고 네트워크 구성 방안에 대하여 제시하였다.

The trend of Internet of things are changed from public and examples of corporate center to B2C service. As you can see, through the practice of domestic and international services Internet of Things, conventional disaster, disasters, such as the case of the public sector, factory automation company now mainly direct B2C (Business to Consumer) services are affecting the individual has spread. In this paper we propose a method of platforms and components, and network configuration plan for exploration robot design based on remote control and monitoring system with IoT.

With the development of CNC(Computer Numerical Control) and communication technology, the connotation and functions of Distributed Numerical Control have been greatly enlarged. In this study, we develop and implement a Distributed Numerical Control system that has real time and multi-tasking operation capability for the machining cell with various NC(Numerical Control) and CNC machines. With the consideration of economy, generalization and extension, this system is interfaced with Shop Floor Control System, Machine Control System and Tool Preparation System using advanced networking method. In the implementation phase, we use the ORACLE DBMS (Database Management System) as the DBMS and Microsoft Visual C++ as the programming tools.

식당이나 가정에서 보편적으로 사용되는 음식물 처리기는 분쇄기가 부착된 형태의 장치이다. 분쇄 방식의 음식물 처리기는 배관이나 분해 필터 등이 막히면 교반기가 파손될 수 있는 문제가 발생된다. 아울러 사용자가 음식물 처리기 내의 수위를 확인하려면 직접 뚜껑을 열어 확인해야 하는 불편함이 생긴다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 이 논문에서는 분쇄 방식의 음식물 처리기에 기본적인 IoT 기술을 접목한 장치를 제안한다. 제안 장치는 기존의 음식물 처리기에 실시간 모니터 처리기와 자동 제어 처리기를 추가로 설계 및 구현한다. 제안한 음식물 처리장치는 사용자가 스마트폰을 활용해서 장치의 내부를 모니터링 할 수 있게 한다. 또한 음식물 처리기 내부의 일정한 위치까지 음식물이 채워지면 자동으로 작동이 멈추고 알람을 준다. 제안 시스템을 활용하면 사용자가 음식물 처리기 내부를 편리하게 확인할 수 있으므로 고장을 미리 방지하여 오작동 확률을 낮출 수 있는 장점을 가진다.

A food waste disposer commonly used in restaurants or homes is a type of machine with an agitator attached. The food waste disposer of the crushing type has a problem that the agitator may be broken if the piping or decomposition filter is blocked. In addition, there is an inconvenience that the user must manually open the cover to check the level in the food waste disposer. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a device that combines basic IoT technology with food waste disposer. The proposed device additionally designs and implement a real-time monitor processor and an automatic control processor inside the existing food waste disposer. The proposed food waste disposer allows the user to monitor the inside of the device using the smartphone. In addition, when the food is filled up to a certain position in the food waste disposer, it automatically stops and alarms. Using the proposed system, the user can conveniently check the inside of the food waste disposer, which has the advantage of preventing malfunctions in advance and reducing the probability of malfunction.

This paper deals with the efficient management for the intelligent distribution system related with the renewable energy sources, using the wire-wireless monitoring and control device. This device is mainly composed of two sections. One is monitoring device using the Autobase Software and the other is control device using PLC. This paper proposes a wire and wireless monitoring and controlling device which can monitor and control the 50Kw PV system installing remotely (about 1Km) in campus of the Korea University of Technology and Education. By the analysis of PV output characteristic using the device proposed in this paper, it is confirmed that the device can contribute the establishment of Smart Grid.

Integration of Statistical and Engineering Process Control in a Batch Processes Monitoring: Case of Alkyd Polymerization Reactor SCOPUS

The objective of this paper is to develop a framework that integrates two important concepts: Statistical process control (SPC) and engineering process control (EPC). Most of the literature researches on integrated SPC/EPC systems are focused into continuous process mainly with Algorithmic SPC. The integrated SPC/EPC systems in batch process control have not received the same degree of attention. In particular, there is an only Run-to-Run (RTR) control methodology application, which is mostly focused in semiconductor industry. This paper is a first of its kind in integrated SPC/EPC systems that applied in batch process and it based on a data-driven quality improvement tools. The proposed SPC/EPC integration is performed continually in two successive phases: (1) Active SPC for the batch making advance, and (2) RTR control action between batches. Control limits for critical variables are developed using information from the historical reference distribution of past successful batches. EPC application is based on the development of progressive knowledge-based rules. For a validation purpose, the proposed approach is applied to data collected from an industrial batch alkyd polymerization reactor, which evolution is monitored by measuring the overflow water weight, the acidity index and the viscosity of samples withdrawn from the reactor. This industrial process is poorly automated, subject to several disturbances, and the batches have uneven lengths. The synthesis is stopped at the maximum yield allowed by the gelation point of the cold product. Through this case study application, process engineers at the company are now able to use a valuable decision making tool when the production process is affected by certain disruptions, with obvious consequences on product quality, productivity and competitiveness.

오늘날 유비쿼터스 환경에서 전력망이나 이와 유사한 시스템의 실시간 원격 제어 및 모니터링 기술은 다양한 센서나 카메라를 통하여 획득한 정보를 시간과 지역에 구애됨이 없이 인터넷이나 이와 유사한 시스템을 통하여 공유할 수 있는 서비스를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 관리 시스템인 IMS(Internet Management System)을 이용한 시스템 성능평가 및 유지보수를 위한 태양광 발전시스템의 원격 실시간 감시·제어 방법을 소개하고, IMS를 물관리 시스템에 적용하여 실용적 가치를 검증하였다. 또한 실시간 데이터 전송 방식으로 위치에 상관없이 웹 브라우저를 통한 원격 제어가 가능하도록 설계하였다.

Nowaday in the ubiquitous environment, the real-time remote control and monitoring technology for power grids or a similar system provides service as a sharable and independent of time-location for various contents to get from sensors or cameras of the system. In this paper, we introduce the real-time monitor and control system for photovoltaic system to evaluate the system performance and to keep the maintenance by using IMS (Internet Management System). To prove the pragmatic use of IMS, we applied the IMS in water management system. We designed feasibly to control on remote site by web-browser. It guarantees a continuity of real-time information transferring by IMS.

본 논문은 웹 기반의 감시제어시스템을 위한 임베디드 시스템 기술의 구현 예를 제시하였다. 웹 기반의 감시제어시스템을 위해 임베디드 시스템인 타겟 보드와의 인터페이스를 개발하고 이를 특정 임베디드 시스템인 온실 모델에 적용하여 그 실용성을 확인하였다. 자바 클래스를 이용한 클라이언트/서버 소켓 프로그램을 구현하였고, 자바 애플릿 기반의 사용자 인터페이스(GUI)에 의한 웹 기반 온실 감시제어시스템을 구축하였다. 구축된 웹 기반 감시제어시스템은 TCP/IP 상에서 온실의 정보를 클라이언트 프로그램에 잘 전달하여 표시하며 웹 상에서 동작하는 자바 애플릿 클라이언트에서 보내는 제어 신호를 서버를 통해 온실 모델에 잘 전달하여 동작시키는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

In this paper, an example of implementation of a embedded system technology for web based monitoring and control system is presented. For it interfaces with target board as an embedded system was developed, which was applied to specific green room model and verified of its usefulness. We implemented client/server socket programs using Java classes, and web based green room monitoring and control system as an user interface using JavaApplet. The implemented system did send information of green room model to client programs well on TCP/IP and control signals from client to green room model well too.
