Using Kano Model to Explore the Charm of Painting Art Works in the Meaning of Life and Death KCI 등재

The study of life and death is a learning topic. When we face to the life and death issue, it relates to our own lives. Most people are happy with life, but are full of fear of death. This research uses life and death as an example to explore "the creation of the meaning of life and death in composite media." It is hoped that through the extension of the meaning and images of life and death, the themes and elements of painting creation can be integrated to provide the exploration and thinking direction of the meaning of life. This research hopes to extend the meaning and imagery of life and death and incorporate the creative themes and elements of mixed media, so as to provide a direction for the exploration and thinking of the meaning of life. Applying the Miryoku Engineering Evaluation Grid Method to clarify the relationship between the meaning of life and death, style and perceptual imagery, and through the artistic creation of mixed media, summarize the preferences of mixed media creation works that affect the expression of birth and death images. Using the Evaluation Grid Method, 7 people with high involvement in the creation of mixed media and the imagery of life and death were conducted in-depth interviews on the charm and feelings of the meaning of life and death. By summarizing the attractiveness factors of choosing between life and death, the conclusion can be used as a basis for the development of future painting creation after subsequent verification and research on the purpose of life, the meaning of life, the value of survival, and the true meaning of death.

This study is conducted from a design perspective with women's fashion and uses the cheongsam dress as an example within Taiwan and mainland China to investigate Chinoiserie fashion design. First, we adopt the Evaluation Grid Method of Miryoku engineering to interview subjects about their perceived cognition of Chinoiserie women's fashion to determine the purchase charm features that affect consumers the most. These findings help provide relevant references for fashion instruction personnel in the design of creative curriculum and instruction and can also add some effective information to the database of future fashion design. As our research results show, the consumer groups in mainland China and Taiwan have different perceptions of Chinoiserie fashion, while design professionals and non-design professionals have diverse preferences regarding their perceived cognition of Chinoiserie fashion. Therefore, these results indicate that people from different backgrounds have rather significant differences in terms of sensibility for Chinoiserie fashion.

This paper is an inquiry into the human sensibility on view from high-rise housing in a viewpoint of architectural environment design that pay attention to multi-family high-rise housing which is becomes a trend in recent years. And this paper is the fundamental approach for applying this result to later architectural environmental plan of multi-family high-rise housing. In this paper, we used repertory grid method as a cognitive psychological way of analysis and eye mark recorder measurement experiments as a physiological way of examination. In the conclusions, examined human sensibilities on views-focused on the analysis result of eye mark recorder measurement experiments through repertory grid method that are carried on the main subject-and described problems after this and possibilities in the same time.

Design and Evaluation of a Dynamic Continuous Media Streaming Supporting Method on the basis of Logical Grid Hierarchy for MANETs

As wireless connectivity is integrated into many handheld devices, streaming multimedia content among mobile ad-hoc peers is becoming a popular application. In this paper, we propose a dynamic service replication algorithm for providing guaranteed continuous streaming services to all nodes in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). First, a MANET is comprised of logical grid hierarchy, and a streaming service is replicated to a lower server region of the logical grid hierarchy by considering the link availability between a mobile node and the streaming server within a server region or the popularity of the streaming service. We evaluate analytically the performance of the proposed algorithm, and compared with that of existing Qin's algorithm. Evaluation results show that our algorithm can achieve better streaming performance than Qin's algorithm. Therefore, the proposed algorithm not only improves the sharing availability of replicated streaming services but also controls efficiently the number of streaming service replications.

The collapse of reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings is mainly caused by the failure of columns. To prevent brittle failure of RC column, numerous studies have been conducted on the seismic performance of strengthened RC columns. Concrete jacketing method, which is one of the retrofitting method of RC members, can enhance strength and stiffness of original RC column with enlarged section and provide uniformly distributed lateral load capacity throughout the structure. The experimental studies have been conducted by many researchers to analyze seismic performance of seismic strengthened RC column. However, structures which have plan and vertical irregularities shows torsional behavior, and therefore it causes large deformation on RC column when subjected to seismic load. Thus, test results from concentric cyclic loading can be overestimated comparing to eccentric cyclic test results, In this paper, two kinds of eccentric loading pattern was suggested to analyze structural performance of RC columns, which are strengthened by concrete jacketing method with new details in jacketed section. Based on the results, it is concluded that specimens strengthened with new concrete jacketing method increased 830% of maximum load, 150% of maximum displacement and changed the failure modes of non-strengthened RC columns.

In the case of columns in buildings with soft story, the concentration of stress due to the difference in stiffness can damage the columns. The irregularity of buildings including soft story requires retrofit because combined load of compression, bending, shear, and torsion acts on the structure. Concrete jacketing is advantageous in securing the strength and stiffness of existing members. However, the brittleness of concrete make it difficult to secure ductility to resist the large deformation, and the complicated construction process for integrity between the existing member and extended section reduces the constructability. In this study, two types of Steel Grid Reinforcement (SGR), which are Steel Wire Mesh (SWM) for integrity and Steel Fiber Non-Shrinkage Mortar (SFNM) for crack resistance are proposed. One reinforced concrete (RC) column with non-seismic details and two columns retrofitted with each different types of proposed method were manufactured. Seismic performance was analyzed for cyclic loading test in which a combined load of compression, bending, shear, and torsion was applied. As a result of the experiment, specimens retrofitted with proposed concrete jacketing method showed 862% of maximum load, 188% of maximum displacement and 1,324% of stiffness compared to non-retrofitted specimen.

This study develops the evaluation criteria on technology and service related to smart grid. Four factors in the first hierarchy and fourteen factors in the second hierarchy were determined by reviewing literature and interviewing experts. The extracted criteria are compared each other in order to find relative importance. Pairwise comparisons based on AHP technique were performed and reponses from subjects were analyzed. The results said the order of importance for the first hierarchy was economic factor → stability → technology → social factor. Also the order of importance for the second hierarchywas provided in this paper. The priority of five alternatives of smart grid application was computed by surveying the importance of evaluation criteria in terms of each alternative. After applying obtained importance index of each evaluation criteria, this study presented the priority order (smart transportation →smart renewable → smart power grid → smart electric service → smart place) of 5alternatives concerning technology and service related to smart grid. The results of this study can be used to determine environmental policy for allocating resources on the projects concerning smart grid technology and service

This study proposes a new islanding detection method that uses the phase shift of feed-forward voltage and evaluates the performance of an existing method and the proposed method when the grid frequency changes within the allowable range under steady-state conditions. The investigated existing method, which is slip mode frequency shift (SMS), uses current phase shift to detect islanding. The SMS method supplies reactive current to the grid under this condition, but the proposed method does not generate additional reactive power because it does not depend on the current control loop. The performance in steady-state grid condition is evaluated through simulations and experiments.
