A Platform based on Kanban to Build Taxonomies and Folksonomies for DMS and CSS

Taxonomies and folksnomies are useful tools to make documents fully accessible within a document management system. The choice of taxonomies and folksonomies is an important aspect which is often discussed without methodologies and supporting tools. Main goal of the proposed work is to define an approach based on the agile methodology Lean Kanban which allows to choose taxonomies and folksonomies. For this purpose, it has been developed a new application to support the definition, validation and implementation of taxonomies and folksonomies, according to the principle of Kanban, and to store the knowledge base which derives from it. This application aims at being a useful tool to easily implement the proposed approach and to store the metadata identified in a Document Management System or in a Cloud Storage Service.

Recommender System using Periodicity Analysis via Mining Sequential Patterns with Time-series and FRAT Analysis

This paper proposes a recommender system based on periodicity analysis from purchase history data using mining sequential pattern with time-series and FRAT (Frequency, Regency, Amount and Type of merchandise or service) analysis. In this paper, not used user's profile for rating, it is necessary for us to make the task of mining sequential pattern with time-series and clustering of category with weight using FRAT analysis in order to recommend service by frequently changing trends of purchase pattern. For doing that, it is considered the importance of type of merchandise or service and then, we suggest recommending method based on periodicity analysis to reflect frequently changing trends of seasonable purchase pattern for the four seasons as time goes by and as often as customers need different merchandises on e-commerce being extremely diverse. We evaluated the proposing system on the data set collected in the same dataset collected on a cosmetic internet shop to measure its performance. We reported some of the experimental result, in the same condition, which is better performance than both the previous system and existing system.

Evaluation Model of Defense Information Systems Use

The Republic of Korea’s Ministry of National Defense (ROK-MND) has developed various defense information systems, and most of the projects for the development of such information systems are now in their completion or maintenance stage. Because information system (IS) use is a precondition to get the benefit and it can show what IS should be improved, measuring IS use is important. In this study, we benchmarked ISO/IEC 25010 and a guideline of Korean government for operational performance of information systems. We proposed the framework that can measure the degree of IS use with three perspectives such as task support, relevant information provision, and user convenience from the viewpoint of users, and conducted an evaluation of defense information systems with it. Moreover, we classified the defense information systems into four groups by two dimensions such as the status of use and the frequency of maintenance demand, and then made suggestions for better management of IS in each classification.
