This paper will be described the new computational paradigm connected with cognitive cryptography. This new scientific field is introduced with a new generation of information systems, focused on developing intelligent cryptographic solutions and procedures using cognitive information processing approaches. Such systems are mainly designed to use the semantic analysis of encrypted information to select the most appropriate method of encryption or datata transmission. This paper presents a possible application of such techniques in intelligent information sharing application or visual cryptography. Cryptographic solutions inspired by biological models will be also described.

This paper proposes an intelligent green service in Internet of Things. The intelligent service responds to the users’ requests in real-time and saves energy as much as possible. The services in Internet of Things need the additional energy to understand surrounding environment because they do not know when and where users request them. Because the whole distribution of the services in Internet of Things is not exposed, the nearest services are chosen and provided for users. This paper addresses the energy inefficiency of the choice of the nearest services and proposes an improved energy-saving service scheme.

Onsite monitoring of asbestos in indoor air is necessary to maintain good quality of air and secure safe environment to workers or residents in buildings. With the aid of wireless network technology, sensing data can be the key source of smart air quality monitoring system. For the selective detection of asbestos fibers from other particulate matters, water and refractive index liquids were used with several color filters for optical sensing by spectral sensor. Effect of each reagent was analyzed in terms of chrysotile concentration. It is suggested that standardized optical data of asbestos would be applicable to the ICT based smart indoor air controlling system.

To restore the ecosystem and monitor the progress, changes of fish fauna were selected for wireless ecosystem monitoring data. The habitat conditions in the test bed were categorized into three types. Two types of dam lakes in which an existing artificial vegetation island is installed in a riverbed made up of clay and sand (St. 1) and dam lakes that apply a hybrid artificial vegetation island and artificial fish reefs that complement the functions of the existing artificial vegetation island (St. 2) were constructed. The third type is an artificial wetland built on the upstream of the dam in which artificial habitats are made using artificial fish reefs, riffle frames, piling rocks, etc in an environment that has repeated multipath puddles made mainly of sand, as well as riffles and pockets of riverbeds composed of gravel and cobble stones (St. 3). When examining the fish fauna that appear per habitat condition, in the case of St. 1, a total of four families and ten species were confirmed, while four families and eleven species and three families and seventeen species were confirmed for St. 2 and St. 3, respectively. In the case of St. 2 that applies a hybrid artificial vegetation island and artificial fish reefs that complement the functions of the existing artificial vegetation island, it could provide relatively more shelter to conceal small fish compared to St. 1. In the case of St. 3 that maintains a constant water level to stabilize vegetation around the waterside and maintains various water flows and multi-porous habitat environments, it is suitable as a habitat for various life forms.

This study has been conducted with the intention of evaluating the recovery of the ecological system before and after the composition of the wetland in the regions of Lake Paro by analyzing the changes in fish with the use of site research after the composition of wetland, as well as the study of the ecological system data before composing wetland on the upstream of Lake Paro, as conducted in Yanggu-gun, Gangwon-do. This study also has the intention of being used as basic data for future management of the ecological system. The results of the research displayed 45 species of 12 families in the entire area of Lake Paro before composing the wetland. However, the region composed of wetland in the upstream of Lake Paro displayed a relatively weak number of fish with 22 species of 6 families. After the composition of wetland, 30 species of 7 families appeared and the group of fish in the wetland area is gradually stabilizing. The research within the wetland was found to have 62.4% of its entire biomass filled with an economic fish species, which equates to approximately 120 kg. This is a significantly large amount compared to the biomass generally found in other artificial lakes. Accordingly, this study is planning an improvement project in order to overcome the degeneration of water quality in certain regions in addition to the active assessment of plans which use the abundance of fish in the upstream of Lake Paro as a highly added value for tourism resource.

Optical properties of asbestos were analyzed with aid of chromameter and spectral sensor for wireless indoor air monitoring sensor network system. To achieve a highly selective recognition, different color filters were utilized to monitor the chrominance value and wavelength changes. LabVIEW based data matching program was developed to separate asbestos from other particulate matters by matching chrominance value and wavelength of asbestos simultaneously. We suggest these optical data for the future optical property based wireless asbestos sensor network development as a part of smart indoor air monitoring system.

Current embedded system, such as cell phones and smart-cards, in corporate security devices or cryptographic processor. These cryptographic devices often store private keys or other sensitive data, so compromise of this data or the underlying hardware may lead to loss of privacy, forged access, or monetary theft. Even if the attackers fail to gain the secret information that is stored in a hardware, they may be able to disrupt the hardware or deny service leading to other kinds of security failures in the system. Therefore hardware attacks targets this security devices. Hardware attacks could be covert or overt based on awareness of the targeted system. This paper reviews proposed Accessibility/Resources/Time (ART) schema that quantifies hardware attacks. We focus in this paper on presenting covert attacks and quantify the attack using the ART schema.

With the recent emergence of HTML5 and the development of new web technologies, the web-based platforms and devices accepting these platforms have changed. The new web technologies demand hardware with high specifications. However, media devices with low-performance hardware are able to transmit high-resolution images using high-speed networks. Thin client technology can be applied to these devices where complicated operations are processed on the server side and only simple operations are performed on the client side, which includes an efficient decoder to display video. The hybrid transmission model proposed in this paper accumulates text and image changes in web pages. It then captures them in Region- Merge method before transmission to minimize the resources that are sent from the server to the client. The model separates the Audio/Vedio region, which is displayed as a Flash or HTML5 VIDEO tag, into streaming before transmission. The live streaming, to minimize resource usage, is divided into hybrid ondemand streaming and hybrid live streaming to provide a highly efficient service model.
