Software defects prediction research is converging on the use of function point elements for software defect predictions. Studies on the nature and behavior of the function point elements are expanding. Previous studies have analyzed the correlation between the function point elements. This paper presents correlation analysis between function point elements and the software defects. It is observed that external input count and external inquiry count function point elements show some correlation with software defects. Different data subsets were analyzed, where 4GL projects shows strong correlation with defects over 3GL and ApG/other projects, while enhancement software projects show more correlation with defects over new software projects.

Using the static chamber method, CO2 flux across the water-air interface of Xiquanyan reservoir was measured for 24 hours over a one-year cycle in Harbin, China. Gas ebullition and gas emission in winter was not considered in this study. CO2 fluxes showed significant spatial-temporal differentiation. The order of CO2 flux in each test point was: A> C> D> B. The changes of water level and hydro-fluctuation zone and the distribution of aquatic plants were the main factors affecting the spatial variation of CO2 flux. In terms of time, carbon flux of daytime in Xiquanyan was significantly lower than the night. Overall, seasonal variations of CO2 flux was: spring> autumn> summer.

Genetic algorithms for multi-objective optimization problem to be solved were studied. Through the elitist strategy analysis, it is an improved multi-objective optimization algorithm. The algorithm uses a data warehouse to store the optimal solution produced by individuals in each generation, from the way individuals adopt measures to phase out the individual data warehouse identical or similar, the algorithm also improved selection operator, so that the algorithm adaptive capacity enhancement, the new algorithm improves the algorithm performance, improves the quality of understanding between sets, can get a lot of optimal and balanced.

The challenge of modern machining industries is mainly to achieve high quality, in terms of dimensional accuracy, surface finish and high production rate. In the present work, an attempt has been made to explore the effect of EDM process parameters on various Surface Roughness characteristics Ra, Rq and Rz. The experiments have been done on medium carbon steel EN8 which has high applications in tool, oil and gas industries. For the experimentation, Pulse on time (PON), Pulse off time (POFF), Wire tension (WT) and Wire feed rate (WF) were considered as EDM inputs. Similarly, Surface roughness parameters Ra, Rq and Rz were taken as output characteristics. Taguchi’s standard L27 (3 level * 3 parameters) Orthogonal Array was used for conducting the experiments and optimization of multi responses was done by Grey analysis. From the Grey analysis, optimal combination of machining parameters for Surface Roughness characteristics was found at Pulse-on time (PON):131 μs (level 3), Pulse-off time (POFF):58 μs (level 2), Wire tension (WT):2 Kg-f (level 1) and Wire feed rate (WF):4 m/min (level 1). Analysis of variance was used to find the influence of process parameters on responses. From ANOVA of Grey Relational Grade, it is found that wire feed has high influence (F= 59.18) and pulse off time has very low influence (F= 2.50) in effecting the Surface Roughness parameters taken simultaneously. Regression models for the responses were prepared by using MINITAB-16 software. From the residual analysis, it is clear that the models prepared for the responses were more accurate, adequate and they can be used for prediction of surface roughness characteristics. Finally, the experimental and predicted values were compared and they found very close to each other.

The dispersion of torsional wave in transverse and layered one-dimensional component of infinite length is investigated. The study is carried out by treating the one-dimensional component as a cylinder of infinite length firstly, Then put forward a way that the component is divided into a multilayer to analyze torsional wave propagation, the model is constructed in cylindrical coordinates for homogeneous and layered component, the governing equation of torsional wave was derived based on one-dimensional elastic theory and Whittaker’s function, obtain harmonic wave solution of the governing equation by making use of the boundary and continuity conditions of adjacent layers. Finally the result of numerical simulation illustrated the influence of component’s density and shear module on torsional angels and phase velocity. It has been observed the velocity is changing as the change of parameters of shear module and density according to the curve. The conclusion made shown the consistency with the classical theory, and the effective on model such as bearings, engineering mechanics and displacement of particles.

Firefly algorithm (FA) is a novel population-based stochastic optimization algorithm and has been shown to yield good performance for solving varieties of optimization problems. Meanwhile, it sustains premature convergence because it is easily to fall into the local optima which may generate a low accuracy of solution or even fail. To overcome this defect, a nonlinear time-varying step strategy for firefly algorithm (NTSFA) is presented. It uses a nonlinear decreasing and time-varying step-size for fireflies to better balance the algorithm’s ability of exploration and exploitation. Numerical simulation on 20 test benchmark functions display that the proposed algorithm can increase the accuracy of the original FA. Finally, we apply NTSFA to integrate into k-means clustering for mouse dataset. The results show that NTSFA is an effective optimization algorithm.

Numerous technology devices have been propelled to explore the prospects of mobile devices. There is a growing demand to transform the existing PC-based software systems to mobile device platforms since mobile devices are low-cost compared for a PC, and their affordance, usability, and user-friendliness are such that they can theoretically counterpart or even replace traditional computer technology and mobile devices perform well using a lesser amount of memory than PC-based systems. Mobile device product lines are promising approaches for deriving and delivering custom-made applications to devices. In this paper, a conceptual framework for the mobile device product line is designed to create a strategic concept on how the mobile device delivers its application towards its users. It is designed to construct an interaction within the mobile application to its user devices. Mobile Device Product Line Security is a new concept, which appears with the Internet of Things (IoT) application in industry. This technology applied in production systems provides many benefits like better transparency or real-time information. This approach proposes a conceptual framework for IoT application in Production Systems Security. The aim of this framework is helping enterprises to identify the main elements to apply IoT in Mobile Device Product Line Security Systems.

This paper studied the power allocation and downlink interference issues in orthogonal frequency-division-multiple-access (OFDMA) system to mitigate the interference issues. In Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access (OFDMA) frameworks, resource allotment to the subcarrier is crucial attributable to the deficient assets accessible at the base station. In OFDMA, subcarrier and power distribution are not separate, along with these lines this two portion are not self-overseeing. This paper examines the power allo-cation approach through exploring the HGBBDSA approach. The integration of GA with Biogeography Based Optimization algorithm benchmarked over the Particle Swarm Op-timization (PSO). The both of the algorithms cross usefulness is evaluated and looked at the exhibitions in Heterogeneous Network (HetNet). The reenactment results demonstrate that the HGBBDSA approach efficiently allocates the power than that of existing PSO approach.
