An Aspect-oriented Software Architecture Description Language AO-ADL Based on XYZ

Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) can resolve the code tangling problem in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) via using the technology of separation of concerns. Software architecture is becoming an important part in the phase of software design, it has the ability of helping designer to handle the structure and the complexity of large software systems, and Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD) is a new paradigm proposed to manage the complexity by crosscutting concerns in the whole software life-cycle. In order to adequately specify aspect-oriented design, Aspect-Oriented Architecture Description Languages (AO-ADL) are needed. XYZ/ADL is an architecture description language which is based on temporal logic language XYZ/E. XYZ/ADL separates computation and communication into two different architecture elements – component and connector, but lacks some appropriate support to represent these crosscutting behaviors. So, XYZ/ADL must be extended to resolve the problem above by adding a kind of new elements – Aspect and modifying the former component and connector. At last, we illustrate them on an example of the Hotel Management System (HMS) via using AO- ADL.

Software Outsourcing Partnership(SOP) : A Systematic Literature Review Protocol with Preliminary Results

CONTXEXT:-Software outsourcing partnership (SOP) is a relationship between client and vendor organizations for shared goals. A SOP is different than ordinary outsourcing contractual relationship. Usually a successful outsourcing relationship may lead to outsourcing partnership. OBJECTIVE:-The objective of this research is to identify factors via systematic literature review (SLR), that are significant to be developed by outsourcing vendor organization which lead them to convert existing outsourcing contractual relationship into outsourcing partnership with client organization. METHOD: -SLR will be used for the aforementioned objective. SLR is based on a structured protocol and is more thorough than ordinary review. EXPECTED OUTCOMES: - We have developed a SLR protocol for the SOP and are in the process of implementing the protocol. The anticipated outcome of this review will be a list of critical success factors (CSFs) and critical risks (CRs) which can have a positive or a negative role in building or converting the existing outsourcing relationship into outsourcing partnership. The ultimate aim of this research is the development of SOP Model.

Border Detecting Method for IR Image of Fire Extinguishing Agent Dispersion

The temperature difference between fires extinguishing agent dispersion field caused by grenade explosion scatters and background is tiny and fire extinguishing agent dispersion presents obscure configuration. These induce the lowest contrast of the infrared fire extinguishing agent dispersion image and the borders of the fire extinguishing agent dispersion are difficult to be extracted. According to the characters of fire extinguishing agent dispersion and infrared image, a border detecting method by dynamic texture and mathematical morphology was proposed. Firstly, the infrared image sequence was pre-segmented by dynamic texture method, and then the edges in fire extinguishing agent dispersion were extracted by Canny operator. The extracted edges were dilated, labeled and selected by the mathematical morphology and the true dispersion borders were extracted. The experimental results show that processing the fire extinguishing agent dispersion images by the methods mentioned above can effectively extract the borders of the fire extinguishing agent dispersion images and get better results, which can be the foundation of measuring the fire extinguishing agent dispersion.

Analysis of Spots for Helicopter Saving in Mountain Area by Using GPS

The number of mountain climbers increases as leisure time expands and the awareness of public health is promoted. However, thanks to physiographic features and carelessness of mountain climbers, the rate of accidents on the mountains also increases. When urgent accidents occur on the mountains, helicopters are usually used for the emergencies adjusting to the difficult access. The objective of this study is to analyze the spots for helicopter to land and take off when accidents occur on the mountains by using GPS to support decision-making for emergency saving system. The target area for this study was limited to Pucheon, Gyeonggi-do, in Korea. The spots for saving were classified into two such as landing spots and take-off spots for helicopter to respond to the emergencies on the practical site. Digital map, forest type map, and forest soils map were used as fundamental data. This study was performed excluding factors such as direction of the wind, speed of the wind, etc. In the future, associated with DB from the Meteorological Administration, more efficient analysis will be required.

Spatial-temporal Indexing Research based on Road Network : Improved-MON-tree

Contrary to MON-tree index less than the temporal and spatial indexing methods based on road networks we proposed Improved-MON-tree. The index is divided into two levels and the quad tree grid index at the top of the road network, and the bottom of the two-dimensional R-tree index moving object moving information. In order to support the global trajectory of moving objects query, add a hash structure underlying index structure connected to the moving object information. Verified by experiment, under certain conditions, Improved-MON-tree than the MON-tree based on edge and routes, has good spatial-temporal window query performance and global trajectory.
