본 연구는 일반어와 다른 전문용어의 형성 원리를 바탕으로 조선어 법률 전문용어의 형성 과정과 조어 특성을 언어학적 관점에서 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 조선어 어휘의 조어 원칙을 검토하고 ʻ의미ʼ와 ʻ어음ʼ 간 연결 방향성 분석을 통해 전문용어와 일반 어휘가 형성 원리에서 본질적으로 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 기존 연구와 ISO 전문용어 형성 세칙을 바탕으로 중국 조선어 법률 전문용어의 형성 및 명명(命名) 과정을 살펴보았다. 이어서 이러한 형성 과정을 바탕으로 손지혜 주필 『중조·조중 법률소송용어사전(中朝·朝中法律訴訟用語詞典)』에 수록된 조선어 법률 전문용어 17,037건을 분석 대상으로 삼아 해당 용어들의 형성 원리와 조어 양상을 체계적으로 정리 분석하였다. 본 연구는 중국 조선어 법률 전문용어의 명명 방식을 단순한 번역의 차원이 아니라 전문용어 형성의 관점에서 접근하여, 그 형성 및 조어 양상과 특징을 정리·분석함으로써 향후 조선어 법률 전문용어의 체계적 구축에 참고가 될 수 있는 틀을 제시하는 데 목적을 둔다.

This study linguistically analyzes the formation process and word-formation characteristics of Korean legal terminology, based on the formation principles distinguishing specialized terms from general vocabulary. First, it examines word-formation principles of Korean vocabulary, confirming essential differences in formation principles between specialized terms and general vocabulary by analyzing the directional connection between "semantics" and "phonetics". Based on existing research and ISO terminology formation rules, this study explores the formation and naming process of Korean legal terminology used by ethnic Koreans in China. Taking the above formation process as a theoretical basis, it systematically organizes and analyzes the formation principles and word-formation patterns of relevant terms, with 17,037 Korean legal terms from Chinese-Korean & Korean-Chinese Dictionary of Legal Litigation Terms (edited by Sun Zhihui) as the analysis object. This study does not restrict the naming of the terminology to simple translation. Instead, starting from the perspective of terminology formation, it sorts out and analyzes the formation process, word-formation patterns and characteristics, aiming to provide a reference framework for the future construction of the Korean legal terminology system.
