의료기술이 발전함에 따라 인간의 평균 수명은 증가하였지만, 고령 인구의 증가와 함께 인체 장기의 기능 감 소와 상실로 많은 문제점들이 야기되고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 첨단 기술이 융·복합되어 한 번의 시술로 오랜 기 간 동안 인체 내부에서 다양한 기능을 수행할 수 있는 이식형 의료기기의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 융·복합 기 술은 새로운 성능, 소형화, 원격화를 중심으로 연구되고 있으나, 새로운 기술이 적용된 기기의 안전성 및 성능 평가 방법에 대한 연구는 아직 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 첨단 기술 기반 이식형 의료기기의 평가방법을 마련하기 위해 이식형 의료기기에 적용되고 있는 최신 기술 동향을 조사하여 필수적인 공통 안전성 평가 방법을 도출하고, 이 식형 기기의 특성을 고려한 성능 평가 방법을 제시하고자 사용 목적이 유사한 비이식형 의료기기와 이식형 의료기기 의 평가 방법을 비교·분석하여 이식형 의료기기의 성능 평가 기준을 수립하였다. 그 결과 첨단 이식형 의료기기의 공 통 평가 프로세스를 도출하였으며, 이는 새로운 기술이 포함된 이식형 의료기기의 신속한 인허가를 위해 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Although human life expectancy has increased with advances in medical technology, there are many problems with the increasing number of elderly people and the loss of human organ function. To address this problem, the development of implantable medical devices that can perform various functions inside the human body over a long period of time is actively carried out through advanced technologies combined. While fusion and combined technologies are focused on new performance, miniaturization, and remoteization, research on safety and performance evaluation methods of devices with new technologies is still insufficient. In this study, the recent technology trends applied to portable medical devices were investigated to derive the necessary common safety assessment methods and to present safety assessment methods considering the characteristics of the implanted devices. In addition, the performance evaluation criteria for implantable medical devices were established by comparing and analyzing the evaluation methods of non-implantable medical devices and implantable medical devices for similar purposes. As a result, we have presented a common assessment process for implantable medical devices, which is expected to be utilized for rapid acceptance of implantable medical devices with new technologies.
