This study has the objective in looking at the effect of one time yoga training on blood pressure, vascular health, average pulse, stress level and nervous system stability depending on the training period of female trainees who train at hobby level for health. General female trainees who have continued yoga training more than three times a week participated in this study. They were divided into three groups according to the training period. Group 1 was set up within 3 months (n=9), Group 2 from 3 months to 12 months (n=21) and Group 3 was 12 months and more (n=12). The blood pressure before and after training was measured using FT-500R which is Jawon medical's automatic blood pressure measuring device to measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Vascular health, average pulse, stress level, sympathetic activity, parasympathetic activity and autonomic nerve balance were measured by uBioMacpa Pro. Data processing was carried out repeated measure ANOVA by using SPSS 25.0 statistical program and posteriori test was conducted by Turkey. The significance level was set to be α=.05. The findings are as follows. The study showed that the main effect of the time was significant in the average pulse (p=.006). Also, stress level(p=.007), sympathetic activity (p=.011) and parasympathetic activity (p=.014) showed significant different groups. In conclusion Firstly, Yoga training can be found to be effective in controlling stress by stabilizing the average pulse. Secondly, among the different groups over the period of yoga training, trainees who have been trained for more than 1 year showed more significant difference in stress level, sympathetic activity and parasympathetic activity than trainees who trained within 3 months, therefore, trainees who have been trained for more than 1 year are better to cope with the stress.

Objective : The effects of SP6(Sanyinjiao, 三陰交) acupuncture stimulation on bladder parasympathetic nerve activity (PNA), tibial nerve activity (TNA) as well as blood pressure were examined in anesthetized rats and the results are as follows. Methods : The parasympathetic nerve leading to the bladder was exposed retroperitoneally, and the tibial nerve in the hindlimb was exposed through inguinal area. PNA and TNA were recorded using a bipolar platinum-iridium wire electrode and it was connected to preamplifier. Blood pressure was measured using cannula that was inserted into femoral artery and was recorded with blood pressure sensor that is connected with transducer amplifier. The mean value of all parameters measured for 30 seconds before the stimulation was expressed as 100%. An acupuncture needle was inserted into the SP6 region to a depth of 4 mm. Results : Under intact state (IS), acupuncture stimulation for 120 seconds induced significant increase of PNA which was accompanied with decrease of blood pressure. At the same time, TNA showed temporary increase only with acupuncture stimulation. In 4 mg/kg of naloxone-administrated state (NAS), significant decrease of PNA was seen and it was accompanied with increase of blood pressure. TNA also showed temporary increase only with acupuncture stimulation under the NAS just like the IS. Conclusion : consider that SP6(Sanyinjiao, 三陰交) acupuncture stimulation activated parasympathetic nerve and caused vasodilation to lead into the diuresis, but naloxone reversed the effect of acupuncture for antidiuresis.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to evaluate gastrointestinal parasympathetic nerve activation and pyloric valve function in patients with functional dyspepsia through analysis of bowel sounds and to investigate clinical characteristics associated with the parameters of bowel sounds. Method : We surveyed clinical characteristics of patients by using a questionnaire about functional dyspepsia. Bowel sounds were recorded for 15 minutes during fasting state and for 40 minutes during postprandial state. We then classified the patients into 3 groups by abnormal states of bowel sounds, specifically by the percentage of B.S. and dominenet frequency, and studied clinical characteristics in each group. Results : Among the 182 subjects, patients who had low activity of parasympathetic nerve were 25.8% and showed a tendency of female-dominant, family history and more frequent abdominal pain. Those who had pyloric valve disturbance were 24.1% and showed no tendency by sex distribution, family history and complained of indigestion sensation. Patients who had both disorders were 10.9%, and their clinical characteristics were non-specific. Conclusion : Analysis of bowel sounds may be useful in evaluating pathophysiological factors of functional dyspepsia.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate the evaluation of gastrointestinal parasympathetic nerve activity by comparing between HRV and bowel sound parameters in patients with functional dyspepsia. Methods : 62 patients (male 22, female 40) were enrolled. HRV was measured in all patients. and TP (total power), LF (low frequency density: 0.04$\sim$0.15Hz), HF (high frequency density: 0.15$\sim$0.4Hz). and LF/HF ratio were analyzed. HF band is a reflection of parasympathetic activity. and the LF-to-HF ratio is considered a marker of sympathovagal balance. Bowel sounds were recorded at the day after, and postprandial %BS was used to indicate the gastric vagal activity after eating. HRV and bowel sound parameters were compared. and correlation between them was analyzed. Results : There was no difference in LF/HF ratio between patient group and healthy group of other report. According to values of %BS, each patient was classified into a normal (>6 %BS) or hypoactivity (<6 %BS) of gastric vagus nerve group. HF component of the hypoactivity group was not significantly higher than that of the normal group. There was no correlation between HRV and bowel sound parameters. Conclusions : Because no correlation was found between HRV and bowel sound parameters in patients with functional dyspepsia, we concluded that it is not proper to evaluate gastric vagus nerve activity by HRV measurement.
