후천적 지체장애인의 안전성 향상을 위한 전동휠체어의 설계변수 분석

이 연구의 목표는 후천적 지체징애인의 사용성과 안전성을 향상시킬 수 있는 전동 휠체어의 설계변수를 개발하는 것이다. 선천 적 지체장애보다 후천적 지체장애인이 증가하는 추세이기 때문에 전동 휠체어의 후천적 장애인의 신체 특성을 고려한 설계변 수의 설정의 필요성은 더욱 크다고 할 수 있다. 이연구에서는 후천적 지체장애인과 관련된 자료 및 문헌을 검색 한 후, 전동 휠체어를 개발하기 위해 설문조사와 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였다. 전동 휠체어가 인체 공학적 요소를 고려하고 분석 된 설계 변 수를 기반으로 제조 된 경우 전동 휠체어는 장애인의 편의성과 안전성을 향상시킬 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

Taguchi's robust parameter design is an approach to reduce the performance variation of quality characteristics in products and processes. In robust design, the signal-to-noise ratio (SN ratio) was used to find the optimum condition to minimize the variation of quality characteristics as much as possible and bring the average of quality characteristics closer to the target value. In this paper, we propose a simultaneous optimization method based on a linear model of the SN ratio as a method to find the optimal condition of the control factor in case of multi-characteristics. In addition, the proposed method and the existing method were compared and studied by taking actual cases.

Taguchi has used the signal-to-noise ratio (SN) to achieve the appropriate set of operating conditions where variability around target is low in the Taguchi parameter design. Taguchi has dealt with having constraints on both the mean and variability of a characteristic (the dual response problem) by combining information on both mean and variability into an SN. Many Statisticians criticize the Taguchi techniques of analysis, particularly those based on the SN. In this paper we propose a substantially simpler optimization procedure for parameter design to solve the dual response problems without resorting to SN.

Properties and comparison of multivariate CUSUM and EWMA charts for monitoring Σ of multivariate normal N(μ, Σ) process has considered. Comparison of the performances of the considered charts, the numerical values are obtained by simulation with 10,000 iteration in terms of ATS, ANSS and ANSW. We found that EWMA chart with small values of smoothing constant more effectively detects the process changes than with large smoothing constant. And we also found that CUSUM chart with small value of reference value is more effectively detecting the process change than with large reference value. If a process engineer has interest in detecting small amount of shift rather than large shift, he/she can be recommended to use small smoothing constant in EWMA chart and small reference value in CUSUM chart.

This paper presents a conceptual design approach of air-cored synchronous machine with high temperature superconductor (HTS) field winding. With a given configuration of a target machine, boundary conditions are set in the cylindrical coordinate system and analytic field calculation is performed by solving a governing equation. To set proper boundary conditions, current distributions of the field winding and the armature winding are expressed by the Fourier expansion. Based on analytic magnetic field calculation results, key machine parameters are calculated: 1) inductance, 2) critical current of field winding, 3) weight, 4) HTS conductor consumption, and 5) efficiency. To investigate all potential design options, 6 sweeping parameters are determined to characterize the geometry of the machine and the parameter calculation process is performed for each design options. Among design options satisfying constraints including >80 % critical current margin and >95 % efficiency, in this paper, a first-cut design was selected in terms of overall machine weight and HTS conductor consumption to obtain a lightweight and economical design. The goal is to design a 5-MW machine by referring to the same capacity machine that was previously constructed by another group. Our design output is compared with finite element method (FEM) simulation to validate our design approach.

When designing the parameter on the multiple quality characteristics, there has been a study for optimization of problems, but there has been few former study on the possible conflicting phenomena in consideration of the correlations among the characteristics. To solve the issue on the optimal design for multiple quality characteristics, this study modelled the expected loss function with cross-product terms among the characteristics and derived range of the coefficients of the terms. The model will be used to determine the global optimal design parameters where there exists the conflict among the characteristics, which shows difference in optimal design parameters for the individual characteristics.

Polyacetal resin is usually used to make molds, but it is difficult to achieve dimension accuracy during molding. Therefore it is usually necessary to cut the polyacetal resin after a molding process. Polyacetal resin is easily machining by standard machine tool. Acetal is also a thermal stable material which can be totted without coolant Another concern about the use of polyacetal resin is that it absorbs water easily, which also results in problems with dimension accuracy Therefore, in this study, the cutting resistance of water-absorbed polyacetal resin and its surface roughness after cutting in order to achieve the highest degree of accuracy in the cutting of polyacetal resin were investigated. Also, The Robust Design method uses a mathematical tool called orthogonal arrays to study a large number of decision variables with a small number of experiments. It also uses a new measure of quality, called signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio, to predict the quality from the customer's perspective. Thus, we have taken Taguchi's parameter design approach, specifically orthogonal array, and determined the optimal levels of the selected variables through analysis of the experimental results using S/N ratio.

The critical problem in dealing with multiple characteristics is how to compromise the conflict among the selected levels of the design parameters for each individual characteristic. In this study, First, Methodology using SN ratio optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achieve the optimal compromise among several different response variables is developed. Second, to solve the issue on the optimal design for multiple quality characteristics, this study modelled the expected loss function with cross-product terms among the characteristics and derived range of the coefficients of the terms. The model will be used to determine the global optimal design parameters where there exists the conflict among the characteristics, which shows difference in optimal design parameters for the individual characteristics. Third, this paper propose a decision model to incorporates the values assigned by a group of experts on different factors in weighting decision of characteristic. Using this model, SN ratio of taguchi method for each of subjective factors as well as values of weights are used in this comprehensive method for weighting decision of characteristic.

Liquefied hydrogen is attracting attention as an energy source of the future due to its hydrogen storage rate and low risk. However, the disadvantage is that the unit price is high due to technical difficulties in production, transportation, and storage. This study was conducted to improve the design accuracy and development period of needle valves, which are important parts with a wide technical application range among liquefied hydrogen equipment. Since the needle valve must discharge an appropriate flow rate of the liquefied fluid, it is important to determine the needle valve design parameters suitable for the target flow rate. Computational Fluid Dynamics and Artificial Neural Network technology used to determine the design variables of fluid flow were applied to improve the setting and analysis time of the parameter. In addition, procedures and methods for applying the design parameter of needle valves to Convolutional Neural Networks were presented. The procedure and appropriate conditions for selecting parameters and functional conditions of the Convolutional Neural Network were presented, and the accuracy of predicting the flow coefficient according to the design parameter was secured 95%. It is judged that this method can be applied to other structures and machines.
