Distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) porous silicon (PSi) was generated by an electrochemical etching a bragg structure into a silicon wafer through electrode current in aqueous ethanolic HF solution. DBR PSi exhibiting unique reflectivity was successfully obtained by an electrochemical etching of silicon wafer using square current waveform. The multilayered photonic crystals of DBR PSi exhibited the reflection of a specific wavelength with high reflectivity in the optical reflectivity spectrum. In this work, we have developed a method to create refractive index in Si substrate through intensity of an electric current. The electrochemical process allows for precise control of the structural properties of DBR PSi such as thickness of the porous layer, porosity, and average pore diameter. The number of reflection peak of DBR PSi and its pore size increased as the intensity of electric current increased. This might be a demonstration for the fabrication of specific reflectors or filters.
Hybrid Scan Reflectivity 기법을 이용한 레이더 강우량의 수문모형 적용

기상레이더의 관측 특성상, 지형클러터 등의 관측영역 한계로 인한 관측공백 지역이 발생한다. 이러한 레이더 빔의 차폐는 강우량의 과소추정 원인이 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 Hybrid Scan Reflectivity (HSR) 기법을 개발하고 기존 방법 결과와 비교하였다. 결과에 의하면, 기존 레이더 관측방법으로 지형에 의해 반사도 정보를 얻지 못하는 영역에 대하여 HSR 기법이 레이더 강우량을 추정할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 반사도 스캔기법과 빔차폐/비 빔차폐영역에서 모두 HSR 기법을 적용한 결과가 정확성이 가장 뛰어났다. 다음으로 각 방법별 레이더 추정 강우량을 HEC-HMS에 적용하여 홍수 유출량 추정 정확성을 평가하였다. HSR 기법에 의한 유출량은 RAR 산출 시스템과 M-P 관계식 대비 상관계수는 평균 7%와 10%, Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency는 평균 18%와 34% 향상되었다. 따라서 정확한 홍수량 추정을 위해 수문분야에 HSR 기법에 의해 추정된 강우량을 활용할 필요성이 있는 것으로 사료된다.
Due to the nature of weather radar, blank areas occur due to impediments to observation, such as the ground clutter. Radar beam blockages have resulted in the underestimation rainfall amounts. To overcome these limitations, this study developed the Hybrid Scan Reflectivity (HSR) technique and compared the HSR results with existing methods. As a result, the HSR technique was able to estimate rainfalls in areas from which no reflectivity information was observable using existing methods. In case of estimating rainfalls depending on reflectivity scan techniques and beam-blockage/non beam-blockage, the HSR accuracy is superior. Furthermore, rainfall amounts derived from each method was inputted to the HEC-HMS to examine the accuracy of the flood simulations. The accuracy of the results using the HSR technique in contrast to the RAR calculation system and M-P relation was improved by 7% and 10%(based on correlation coefficients), and 18% and 34%(based on Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency), on average, respectively. Therefore, it is advised that the HSR technique be utilized in the hydrology field to estimate flood discharge more accurately.

Preparation and Characterization of Porous Polymethylmethacrylate Film Showing Optical Reflectivity KCI 등재

This paper describes a method for the preparation of porous polymethylmethacrylate showing optical reflectivity from the porous silicon template. A porous polymethylmethacrylate showing optical reflectivity was prepared by replicating porous silicon template which was obtained by applying a computer-generated periodic square current density and resulted in a mirror with high reflectivity in a specific narrow spectral region. A porous polymethylmethacrylate showing an excellent reflectivity was successfully obtained by dissolving the Porous silicon template from the porous polymethylmethacrylate composite film. A porous polymethylmethacrylate exhibited a sharp reflection resonance in the reflectivity spectrum. Surface image of the porous polymethylmethacrylate indicated that the surface of the porous polymethylmethacrylate film had a porous structure. These porous polymethylmethacrylate films in aqueous solutions were stable for several days without any degradation.

교직은 흔히 아는 것처럼 여성인구가 과반인 곳이다. 그러나 그곳 역시 의사결정권자가 대부분 남성이라는 점에서 다른 곳과 다르지 않다. 하지만 교직을 다른 직종과 같은 맥락에서 볼 수 없는 것은, 언급했듯이 그곳이 여성이 과반인 곳이기 때문이다. 그곳에서는 여성들의 생애주기가 노동의 정상적 조건으로 시험되고 인정받아야 하며, 그 결과가 다른 곳으로 전이되어야 한다. 그렇지 않다면 여성의 생애주기가 갖는 임신과 출산의 경험은 노동에 방해가 되는 불리한 조건이 되기 때문이다. 여성들의 경험이 교직에 반영되기 위해서는 교직에 있는 여성들이 한 목소리도 여성들의 경험을 말해야 할 것이다. 하지만 여교장과 교감들이 가지고 있는 명예 남성성 때문에 교직의 여성지도자와 여교사들은 한 목소리를 낼 수 없었다. 이에 본 논문은 교직의 여성들이 한 목소리를 낼 수 있는 방법으로 여성간 멘토링과 연대를 제안하며, 그것이 가능하기 위한 여교사들의 역할을 강조하고 있다.
Although one of the major experts in qualitative research methodology, in terms of theorizing and dispersing it, Professor Shran Merriam noted that “No longer is the literature preoccupied with justifying the use of qualitative methods, or debating the merits of qualitative versus quantitative research”(Merriam, 1989, p. 161), Korean academia still does not give as much credibility to qualitative research paradigm as it does to quantitative. This article is aimed to help candidates for master’s or doctoral degrees in the field of adult education, who may want to conduct their research relying on qualitative research methodology, have confidence in raising research questions, collecting and interpreting data, and drawing grounded theories out of the data within the qualitative research paradigm. For the sake of clear-cut understanding of qualitative research methodology, philosophical assumptions undergirding quantitative and qualitative research paradigms are compared, followed by roles researchers play, ways data are collected and interpreted, and rationales reliability and generalizability are understood in different ways within these two frameworks. Finally, the unique feature of adulthood differentiated from other stages of life is explored, and it is proposed that the different aspects of adulthood and the mission of adult education to comprehend it require qualitative research methodology, rather than quantitative. Hopefully, this work would draw critiques on the qualitative paradigm from Korean academia and provide it with a forum in which scholars could sharpen their research methods during the process of heated debates.

More accurate CD (Critical Dimension) control is required for the nanometer-scaled devices. However, since the reflectivity between substrate and PR (Photoresist) becomes higher, the CD (Critical Dimension) swing curve was intensified. The higher reflectivity also causes PR notching due to the pattern of sub-layer. For this device requirement, it was optimized for the thickness, refractive index(n) and absorption coefficient(k) in the bottom anti-reflective coating(BARC; SiON) and photoresist with the minimum reflectivity. The computational simulated conditions, which were determined with the thickness of 33 nm, n of 1.89 and k of 0.369 as the optimum condition, were successfully applied to the experiments with no standing wave for the 0.13um-device. At this condition, the lowest reflectivity was 0.44%. This optimum condition for BARC SiON film was applied to the process for 0.13um-device. The optimum SiON film as BARC to PR and sub-layer could be formed with the accurate CD control and no standing waver for the nanometer-scaled semiconductor manufacturing process.
Reflectivity Improvement by Particle Neutralization in a Charged Particle-Type Electronic Display

Eight sample panels using an indium tin oxide(ITO)-coated glass substrate were fabricated, with barrier ribs formed of 55 ${\mu}m$ height and 10 ${\mu}m$ width. The upper and lower substrates were designed with the same panel condition, so a cell gap of 110 ${\mu}m$ was obtained. The charged particles in a cell consisted of $TiO_2$ (for white color) or carbon black (black color), negative or positive charge control agents, and a polymer. The average diameter of the two types of particles was commonly 10 ${\mu}m$, and their q/m value was -4.5 ${\mu}C/g$ and +4.5 ${\mu}C/g$, respectively. The electrically opposite particles mixed by an agitator were loaded into their cells by a simple particle-loading method. The discharging process proceeded at a humidity of 80% and a temperature of $30^{\circ}C$. Reflectivity was measured depending on discharging time, and a hysteresis curve by bias voltage obtained for comparison between the neutralized and non-neutralized panel, in which the superior optical property of the neutralized panel was ascertained.
Reflectivity of Sn Solder for LED Lead Frame

In this study, in order to obtain a high reflectivity for the LED lead frame, tin dip coating and tin plating were conducted respectively, and wettability of LED lead frame with tin solder also was tested by wetting balance tester. A Cu sheet was plated in Cu brighten electroplating bath and followed by immersion in a Sn electro-less plating bath [1]. On the other hand, in the dip coating process, a Cu sheet was dipped into molten tin. In the progress of wetting test, besides wetting balance curve, the maximum measured force($F_m$), the maximum withdrawal force($F_w$) and zero-cross time($t_0$) were obtained in various temperatures. With the maximum withdrawal force, the surface tension was calculated at different temperatures. The Cu sheet plated with bright Cu and Sn show a silver bright property while that of Cu dipped with Sn possessed a high reflectance density of 1.34GAM at $270^{\circ}C$.

We present a hybrid method for spectral reflectivity recovery, using 3D extrapolation as a supplemental method for 3D interpolation. The proposed 3D extrapolation is an extended version of 3D interpolation based on the barycentric algorithm. It is faster and more accurate than the conventional spectral-recovery techniques of principal-component analysis and nonnegative matrix transformation. Four different extrapolation techniques (based on nearest neighbors, circumcenters, in-centers, and centroids) are formulated and applied to recover spectral reflectivity. Under the standard conditions of a D65 illuminant and 1964 $10^{\circ}$ observer, all reflectivity data from 1269 Munsell color chips are successfully reconstructed. The superiority of the proposed method is demonstrated using statistical data to compare coefficients of correlation and determination. The proposed hybrid method can be applied for fast and accurate spectral reflectivity recovery in image processing.

Nano-size manganese ferrite reinforced conductive polypyrrole composites reveal a core-shell structure by in situ polymerization, in the presence of dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid as the surfactant and dopant, and iron chloride as the oxidant. The structure and magnetic properties of manganese ferrite nano-fillers were measured, by using X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. The morphology, microstructure, and conductivity of the composite were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and four-wire technique. The microwave-absorbing properties of composites reinforcement dispersed in resin coating with the coating thickness of 1.2 nm were investigated, by using vector network analyzers, in the frequency range of 8~12 GHz. A reflection loss of -8 dB was observed at 10.5 GHz.

출력거울로 GRM(Gaussian reflectivity mirror)을 채택한 불안정 공진기를 구성하여 그 Q-스위치 출력의 특성을 분석하였다. 입력 전기에너지가 55J 일 때 1064 nm의 기본파장에서 470 mJ, 532 nm의 제2고조파 파장에서 280 mJ의 출력 에너지를 얻었다. 출력빔의 발산각은 1.7 mrad 이었으며 근접장 영역에서 Top-Hat 형태의 빔을 얻을 수 있었다.
We investigated the operational characteristics of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, which has an unstable resonator with a GRM(Gaussian reflectivity mirror). With electrical input energy of 55 J, we obtained the fundamental energy of 470 mJ at 1064 nm and the frequency doubled energy of 280 mJ at 532 nm. The Top-Hat profile of the output beam was obtained at the near field, and beam divergence was 1.7 mard.

The reflectivity and colour variation in SnO2/Ag/SnO2/SiO2/Nb2O5 multi layer films on glass substrate were investigated withrespect to the top layer SnO2 thickness and IM (Index matching layer) layer. Initially SnO2/Ag/SnO2/SiO2/Nb2O5 multi layerfilms on glass substrate were deposited at room temperature by RF/DC magnetron sputtering method. EMP simulation resultssuggested that the multilayered thin film of SnO2 (40 nm)/Ag (10 nm)/SnO2 (30 nm)/SiO2 (10 nm)/Nb2O5 (10 nm) exhibited thehighest visible transmittance of 90.1% at 550 nm, whereas experimentally measured transmittance showed 85.1%, somewhatlower than simulation data. Reflectivities of SnO2 (40 nm)/Ag (10 nm)/SnO2 (30 nm)/SiO2 (10 nm)/Nb2O5 (10 nm) multi layerfilm at 450 nm and 550 nm of visible range, were 10.4% and 10.6% measured on the top of multi-layer film stackup,respectively. However, reflectivities with IM layer only were 10.8% and 12.4%, suggesting that reflectivity variation wasapproximately within 2%. From the L*a*b* colour space represented by reflectivity spectra, it was found that the lightness(+ L*) decreased from 91.2 to 89.4, whereas the yellowness (+ b*) increased from 0.77 to 1.47, with increasing SnO2 top layerthickness in multi-layer film.

A reflective electronic display that uses negatively and positively charged particles has excellent bistability, a welldefined threshold voltage, and an extremely fast response time in comparison with other reflective displays. This type of display shows images through the movement of charged particles whose motion depends on the value of q/m (charge per mass for a particle). However, the ratio q/m can easily be changed by the forces acting on the charged particles in a cell of the panel and by friction that occurs after mixing oppositely charged particles and in the particle-insertion process. In this study, we propose a method to determine the appropriate range of q/m by using the reflectivity and response time of charged particles to modify q/m. In this manner, the electrical and optical properties of reflective displays are improved.

Spatially resolved, quantitative, non-destructive analysis using synchrotron x-ray reflectivity (XR) with subnano-scale resolution was successfully performed on the nanoporous organosilicate thin films for low dielectric applications. The structural information of porous thin films, which were prepared with polymethylsilsesquioxane and thermally labile 4-armed, star-shaped poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) composites, were characterized in terms of the laterally averaged electron density profile along with a film thickness as well as a total thickness. The thermal process used in this work caused to efficiently undergo sacrificial thermal degradation, generating closed nanopores in the film. The resultant nanoporous films became homogeneous, well-defined structure with a thin skin layer and low surface roughness. The average electron density of the calcined film reduced with increase of the initial porogen loading, and finally leaded to corresponding porosity ranged from 0 to 22.8% over the porogen loading range of 0-30 wt%. In addition to XR analysis, the surface and the inner structures of films are investigated and discussed with atomic force and scanning electron microscopy images.
