This paper presents the optimization steps with weight and importance of estimated characteristic values in the multiresponse surface analysis(MRA). The research introduces the shape parameter of individual desirability function for relaxation and tighening of specification bounds. The study also proposes the combinded desirability function using arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means considering the measurement unit and numerical pattern.

우리나라의 식량공급양상(食糧供給樣相)과 그 변동(變動)을 세계적 입장(世界的 立場)에서 살펴보고저, FAO의 식품수급표(食品需給表)의 자료(資料)를 토대(土臺)로, 주성분 분석법(主成分 分析法)과 수치군(數値群)패턴해석법(解析法)을 적용(適用)하여 수량적 해석(數量的 解析)을 시도(試圖)하여 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. (1) 제(第) 1, 제(第) 2 주성분(主成分) 축(軸)상의 각국(各國)의 식(食)패턴은 서구형식형태(西歐型食形態)를 갖는 국가군(國家群), 라틴민족형(民族型)의 식형태(食形態)를 갖는국가(國家), 아세아(亞細亞) 근동(近東)의 곡류편중국(穀類偏重國) 및 호주등 식육편중국(食肉偏重國)으로 분류(分類)되는데, 우리나라는 곡류편중국(穀類偏重國)에 속(屬)하며이들 국가(國家)중에서도 가장 경작식품(耕作食品)애 치중(置重)되어 있다. (2) 수치군(數値群)패턴해석결과(解析結果) 세계각국(世界各國)의 패턴은 구미제국(歐美諸國)에 속(屬)하는 군(群)과 아세아국가(亞細亞國家)들이 포함(包含)되는 군(群)으로 나누어지며 한국(韓國) 패턴은 49년도(年度)의 일본(日本), 필피핀, 대만등과 패턴 유사율(類似率)이 매우 크다(3) 69년도(年度)의 한국(韓國)패턴은 년도(年度)의 패턴에 비(比)하여 대다수 국가(大多數 國家)들과 유사율(類似率)이 증가(增加)하였다 그러나 패턴분포도(分布圖)상의 위치(位置)는 세계각국(世界各國)의 그것과 아직도 멀리 떨어진 곳에 있다. 기간(期間)중 한국(韓國)패턴의 변동(變動)은 구미국가(歐美國家)들과는 물론 아세아국가(亞綱亞國家)들과도 다른 한국(韓國特有)한 방향(方向)으로 움직이고 있는바, 이에 대한 신중(愼重)한 검토(檢討)와 적절한 대책(對策)이 요청(要請)된다.
Using methods of principle component analysis and pattern of analysis. Korean food supply pattern and its change (1962-1969) have been compared whit those of other 40 countries. 1) Among the 4 groups classified on the first and second principle components, Korea belongs to the highest crop grain dependent group of Asia. Although Korea is identified as one of the highest crop consuming countries among the group, a significant increase in the consumption of fruits and vegetables is noticed during the period. 2) According to the pattern of numerics analysis Korean food supply pattern (1969) is similar with those of Japan (1949), philippines, Taiwan, while is quite apart from those of U.S.A., W. Germany, France and Australia. 3) During the period the food supply pattern of Korea has been changed significantly toward the more common locations on the world food supply pattern map. Yet the location is far from the desirable one and its moving direction is characteristic, differing not only those of Europian countries but also Asian neighborhoods. this unique pattern should receive a careful examination and thus proper measures should be undertaken to take care of optimal nation's nutritional requirements.

In this invited paper, numerical reconstruction and pattern recognition using integral imaging are overviewed. The computational integral imaging method reconstructs three-dimensional information at arbitrary depth-levels. Photon-counting nonlinear matched filtering combined with the computational reconstruction provides promising results for the application of low-light level recognition.

최근 친환경항만(Eco-port)을 건설하려는 노력과 쾌적한 워터프론트 개발에 관한 관심이 고조되면서, 항만의 방파제를 중심으로 수질개선을 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 항 내의 수질개선을 위한 연구로서 최근 해수교환방파제가 주목받고 있지만, 여전히 항 내 안쪽의 영역에서는 해수교환방파제로부터 유입된 해수가 도달하지 못하여 해수의 순환이 잘 안 되는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 해수교환방파제의 단점을 보완하고자, 다기수로라는 새로운 개념의 해수교환방파제를 도입하여, 항 내 안쪽 영역까지 해수의 순환을 촉진할 수 있는 방법을 모색하였다. 이를 위해서 현재 해수교환방파제가 설치된 주문진 항에 가상의 다기수로를 설치하고, 수중유출구의 위치, 크기, 방향을 제어하여 해수유입에 따른 항 내 유동패턴을 비교 검토하고, 해수순환을 촉진시킬 수 있는 방법을 모색하였다.
For the improvement of water quality in a harbor, several studies have been carried out on SEB (Seawater Exchange Breakwater) in recent years, but a problem has been shown whereby the water on the inside area far from the SEB cannot be easily exchanged. In order to solve the problem of the SEB, the Manifold channel, a new concept of the SEB, is introduced in this paper. By using the manifold channel, it is possible to exchange the water of the inside area for seawater from the outside. Here, to assess the outflow gates of the manifold channel governing flow behavior, a virtual manifold channel controlled the location, width and direction of outflow gates applied to the Jumunjin fishery port, where the SEB has been established. In addition, the desirable flow pattern of the port by utilizing the two layer current model is identified, and five general cases of the manifold channel are described in this paper. The model is verified by comparing with observation of the SEB model, and the results are in general agreement. From the results of the manifold channel, in the case of the Jumunjin fishery port, the small circulation of counter clockwise is necessary for the water exchange on the inside area, but it should be controlled by the outflow gates for other areas. Using the two layer current model, the desirable flow pattern of the port can be predicted, and the water exchange for the upper and lower layer can be examined. For the practical use of the manifold channel, further studies on the manifold channel will be necessary, and it may then be used broadly for the design of breakwater in the future.

The flowfield behind two cylinders and flow-induced noise generated from the cylinders in various arrangement are numerically investigated based on the finite difference lattice Boltzmann model with 21 velocity bits. which is introduced a flexible specific heat ${\gamma}$ to simulate diatomic gases like air. In an isolated cylinder with two type of mesh. some flow parameters such as Strouhal number $S_t$ and acoustic pressure ${\Delta}p$ simulated from the solution are given and quantitatively compared with those provided the previous works. The effects of the center-to-center pitch ratio $L_{cc}/d=2.0$ in staggered circular cylinders as shown in Fig. 1 and angles of incidence ${\alpha}=30^{\circ}(T_{cc}/d=0.5)$, $45^{\circ}(T_{cc}/d =0.707)$ and $60^{\circ}\;(T_{cc}/d=0.866)$, respectively, are studied. Our analysis focuses on the small-scale instabilities of vortex shedding, which occurs in staggered arrangement. With the results of drag $C_d$ and lift $C_l$ coefficients and vorticity contours. the mechanisms of the interference phenomenon and its interaction with the two-dimensional vortical structures are present in the flowfields under $Re\;{\le}\;200$. The results show that we successively capture very small pressure fluctuations, with the same frequency of vortex shedding, much smaller than the whole pressure fluctuation around pairs of circular cylinders. The upstream cylinder behaves like an isolated single cylinder, while the downstream one experiences wake-induced flutter. It is expected that, therefore, the relative position of the downstream cylinder has significant effects on the flow-induce noise, hydrodynamic force and vortex shedding characteristics of the cylinders.
Numerical Calculation of Flow Pattern and Fluid Force on a Circular Arc-type Sea Anchor

The fluid dynamic characteristics of a circular arc type sea anchor were calculated by a discrete vortex method. The flow for the surface of the sea anchor was represented by arranging bound vortices at adequate intervals. The simulations were performed by assuming that the separations occur at edges. With time, the drag coefficient was almost constant but the lift coefficient oscillated in a cycle due to von Karman's vortex street. As the camber ratios increase, the drag coefficient and Strouhal number were almost constant but the oscillating amplitude of the lift coefficient increased largely.

A numerical study was performed on the fluid flow in the melt of the cold model for Czochralski growth system. The fluid flow in the melt of Woods metal with crucible diameter of 20cm was calculated using a three dimensional finite difference method. Since the crucible size is large, fully turbulent model as well as laminar model was used in the calculation. The effects of crucible rotation rate, crystal rotation rate and wall temperature difference on the velocity and temperature distribution were also investigated. For the purpose of verifying the results of calculation, a cold model experiment using Woods metal was also conducted and the velocity distribution in the melt of the model was measured.

2개의 경사 배플을 가진 사각 채널내의 열전달과 유동양상에 특성을 조사하기 위해 수치해석을 행하였다. 본 연구에서는 바닥에서만 가열된 채널 내 2개의 배플에 9개의 다이아몬드형 구멍을 설치하였다. 배플은 19.8 cm의 폭과 23.2 cm의 길이 그리고 0.5 cm의 두께의 플렉시 글라스를 사용하였다. 다이아몬드형 구멍의 크기는 $2.55\;cm{\times}2.55\;cm$이며 배플 경사각은 $5^{\circ}$를 유지하였다. 레이놀즈수의 범위는 23,000에서 57,000 이다. SST k-${\omega}$ 난류모델을 사용하였다. 누셀트(Nu) 수의 수치해석 결과는 실험 결과로 검증하였다. 유동장에 관한 수치해석으로부터 배플 구멍 근처의 유동 양상을 나타낼 수 있었고 이러한 유동장이 온도장의 특징에 크게 영향을 미친다는 것을 나타내었다. 국부 누셀트수는$x/D_h$=2.5 에서 최대가 되었다.
Nearshore Current Pattern and Rip Current Occurrence at Jungmun Beach, Jeju by Numerical Computation

A nearshore current or a wave-induced current is an important phenomenon in a nearshore zone, which is composed of longshore, cross-shore, and rip currents. The nearshore current is closely related to the occurrence of coastal accidents by beachgoers. A considerable number of coastal accidents by beachgoers involving the rip current have been reported at Jungmun Beach. However, in studies and observations of the nearshore current of Jungmun Beach, understanding of the rip current pattern remains unclear. In this study, a scientific approach is taken to understand the nearshore current and the rip current patterns at Jungmun Beach by numerical computation for year of 2015. From results of numerical computation, the occurrence and spatial characteristics of the rip current, and the similarities between the rip current and incident wave conditions are analyzed. The primary results of this study reveal that the rip currents are frequently generated at Jungmun Beach, especially in the western parts of the beach, and that the rip currents often occur with a wave breaking height of around 0.5 ~ 0.7 m, a wave period of around 6 ~ 8 seconds, and a breaking angle of around 0 ~ 15 degrees.
유량제어밸브 개방형태가 선형펌프 방식 수중사출 시스템에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치적 연구

In the present study, the effect of opening patterns of a flow control valve on underwater discharge systems using a linear pump was investigated numerically. For that, a improved mathematical model was developed. The improvement is to separate a middle tank from a water cylinder because the cross-section area of the inlet of the middle tank is an important parameter. To validate the improved model, calculation results were compared with a previous study. The results showed that $2^{nd}$ order or more polynomial opening patterns had an advantage over ramp opening patterns. Higher an order of polynomial resulted in wider operating limits. An escape velocity and a maximum acceleration of underwater vehicle were affected by time derivative of the cross-section area of the flow control valve. Besides, as a velocity profile of the vehicle got closer to linearity, the escape velocity got faster and the maximum acceleration got smaller. And velocities of the vehicle and piston had similar variation trend.

Internal waves occur at the interface between two layers caused by a seawater density difference. The internal waves generated by a body moving in a two-layer fluid are also related to the generation of surface waves because of their interaction. In these complex flow phenomena, the experimental measurements and experimental set-up for the wave patterns of the internal waves and surface waves are very difficult to perform in a laboratory. Therefore, studies have mainly been carried out using numerical analysis. However, model tests are needed to evaluate the accuracy of numerical models. In this study, the various experimental conditions were evaluated using CFD simulations before experiments to measure the wave patterns of the internal waves and surface waves in a stratified two-layer fluid. The numerical simulation conditions included variations in the densities of the fluids, depth of the two-layer fluid, and moving speed of the underwater body.
수직 액막 흡수관의 유동변화에 따른 흡수성능 변화에 관한 해석적 연구

Numerical analyses have been performed to obtain the absorption heat and mass transfer coefficients and the absorption mass flux from a falling film of LiBr solution. In the present study, the behavior of laminar-wavy falling film in the vertical absorber was studied analytically and experimentally. The change of absorption performance on mean film thickness, wave amplitude, wave celerity was analysed. The heat and mass transfer equations are solved simultaneously to give the temperature and concentration variations at the LiBr solution/refrigeration vapor interface and at the wall. Effects of uniform film, wavy film and film Reynolds number on the heat and mass transfer coefficients have been estimated. The analytical results of the uniform and wavy falling film in the bare tube was higher than experimental result for $Rd_{t}<100$. The absorption performance showed the maximum at the wavy film by the insert device(spring).

In this study, a numerical estimation method for 3D underwater radiated noise pattern using hull vibration and total acoustic power of the vibrating structure in the far-field is proposed. The underwater radiated noise pattern is known to be predicted using the vibration signals and radiation efficiency of each surface patch. But it is very difficult to know radiation efficiency of each surface patch which is one of important factors to calculate the 3D underwater radiated noise pattern. Instead of using radiation efficiency of each patch, the underwater radiated noise level is modified with the total acoustic power of the vibrating structure. The suggested estimation method for underwater radiated noise pattern is discussed with numerical model.
