The Effects of Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Resilience and Turnover Intention of Manufacturing B2B Salespeople : Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Switching Costs
This study aimed to empirically examine the effects of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and resilience on turnover intention among manufacturing B2B salespeople. To this end, data were collected from 265 manufacturing B2B salespeople, and the proposed research model was empirically tested using structural equation modeling. The findings revealed that OCB significantly positively influenced resilience, while resilience significantly negatively influenced turnover intention. Additionally, OCB directly negatively influenced turnover intention and exerted an indirect negative effect through resilience. Accordingly, resilience was demonstrated to partially mediate the relationship between OCB and turnover intention. Further, switching costs moderated the effect of OCB on resilience. Overall, these findings suggest that reducing turnover intention among manufacturing B2B salespeople requires not only the promotion of OCB and the strengthening of resilience but also a human resource management strategy that accounts for switching costs.
