This study aims to analyze teachers’ perceptions and experiences on lifelong learning and their effects on the commitment to teaching and job satisfaction. As a result of the study, there was meaningful relationship between those two factors; teachers’ perceptions and experiences on lifelong learning, and the effects on the commitment to teaching and job satisfaction. The study illustrates that the efforts are needed for enhancing the perceptions and participations on lifelong learning, in order to enhance the general level of commitment to teaching and job satisfaction. Therefore in this study, the concluding factors were drawn as can be seen below. To enhance the commitment to teaching and job satisfaction generally, following factors would be material. Firstly, it is needed to enhance various efforts to stimulate the perception on lifelong learning. Secondly, encouraging teachers’ participation should be required. Thirdly, more attention is needed to the teachers who have been shown relatively less perception on lifelong learning, such as male-teacher, private school teacher and etc. For the fourth, in order to particularly enhance job satisfaction for teachers, it is substantial to motivate them for health and family-life related program. For the fifth, as spontaneity is one of the key factors, expanding lifelong learning program which teachers can participate spontaneously is also important. Finally, to encourage teachers’ lifelong learning, it is recommended to reduce their excessive burden in work, to produce various information and adequate program regarding lifelong learning and to assist associated costs if necessary.

이 연구는 평생학습에 대한 교사의 인식과 경험이 교직헌신과 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과 평생학습에 대한 교사의 인식과 경험은 교직헌신과 직무만족에 적지 않은 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 분석결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 교직헌신과 직무만족을 높이기 위해서는 교사들에게 평생학습에 대한 인식을 제고하기 위하여 다양한 노력을 제고할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교직헌신과 직무만족을 높이기 위해서는 평생학습 프로그램에의 참여를 유도하기 위하여 노력해야 한다. 셋째, 평생학습에 대하여 상대적으로 낮은 인식을 보이고 있는 남교사, 사립학교 교사, 광역시지역 교사, 중학교와 일반고 교사, 담임교사, 평교사 등에 대해서 평생학습에 대한 인식을 제고하기 위해 노력해야 한다. 넷째, 교사들의 직무만족을 높이기 위해서는 건강 및 가족생활 관련프로그램의 참여유도가 필요하다. 다섯째, 교사들이 자발적으로 참여할 수 있는 평생학습 프로그램을 확대해야 한다. 여섯째, 교사들의 평생학습참여를 장려하기 위하여 교사들의 잡무를 경감하여 참여를 유도하고, 다양한 평생학습관련 정보와 적절한 프로그램을 제공하며, 필요한 경우 관련경비를 지원할 필요가 있다.
