기후변화 영향평가에서의 Uncertainty Delta Method를 활용한 정량적 불확실성 분석

기존 기후변화 영향평가에서 발생하는 불확실성에 대한 연구들은 전체과정에서 총 불확실성과 그 전파에 대한 것보다 각 단계별 불확실성에 초점을 맞추어 연구가 진행되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 first-order Taylor series expansion에 기반하여 전망의 분산을 이용하는 Uncertainty Delta Method (UDM)를 제안하였으며, 이 방법은 각 단계별 불확실성 정량화와 증감정도, 단계별 불확실성 비율, 총 불확실성의 전파 과정 제시가 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 기후변화 영향평가 과정의 단계별 불확실성 정량화와 전파과정 분석을 위해 미래 2030년부터 2059년까지를 대상으로 2개 배출 시나리오, 3개 GCM, 2개 상세화기법, 2개 수문모형을 사용하였다. 결과를 분석하면, UDM을 이용한 총 불확실성은 5.45(배출시나리오: 4.45, 상세화기법: 0.45, 상세화기법: 0.27, 수문모형: 0.28)이며, 배출 시나리오의 불확실성(4.45)이 가장 크게 나타났다. 불확실성은 각 단계를 거칠수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 어떠한 배출시나리오를 선정하느냐에 따라 미래 수자원전망이 매우 달라질 수 있음을 의미한다. 다음으로 Hawkins and Sutton (2009)가 제안한 Fractional Uncertainty Method (FUM)을 이용한 기후변화 영향평가 불확실성 분석에서 가장 불확실성이 큰 요인은 배출 시나리오(FUM 불확실성: 0.52)이며, 이 결과는 UDM 결과와 동일하게 나타났다. 따라서 이 연구에서 제안한 UDM은 기후변화 영향평가에서의 불확실성 이해와 적합한 분석 및 미래 기후변화 대비 보다 나은 수자원 전망이 가능하도록 기여할 것으로 판단된다.
The majority of existing studies for quantifying uncertainties in climate change impact assessments suggest only the uncertainties of each stage, and not the total uncertainty and its propagation in the whole procedure. Therefore, this study has proposed a new method, the Uncertainty Delta Method (UDM), which can quantify uncertainties using the variances of projections (as the UDM is derived from the first-order Taylor series expansion), to allow for a comprehensive quantification of uncertainty at each stage and also to provide the levels of uncertainty propagation, as follows: total uncertainty, the level of uncertainty increase at each stage, and the percentage of uncertainty at each stage. For quantifying uncertainties at each stage as well as the total uncertainty, all the stages - two emission scenarios (ES), three Global Climate Models (GCMs), two downscaling techniques, and two hydrological models - of the climate change assessment for water resources are conducted. The total uncertainty took 5.45, and the ESs had the largest uncertainty (4.45). Additionally, uncertainties are propagated stage by stage because of their gradual increase: 5.45 in total uncertainty consisted of 4.45 in emission scenarios, 0.45 in climate models, 0.27 in downscaling techniques, and 0.28 in hydrological models. These results indicate the projection of future water resources can be very different depending on which emission scenarios are selected. Moreover, using Fractional Uncertainty Method (FUM) by Hawkins and Sutton (2009), the major uncertainty contributor (emission scenario: FUM uncertainty 0.52) matched with the results of UDM. Therefore, the UDM proposed by this study can support comprehension and appropriate analysis of the uncertainty surrounding the climate change impact assessment, and make possible a better understanding of the water resources projection for future climate change.
An Improved Feature Extraction Method for Malay Vowel Recognition based on Spectrum Delta SCOPUS

Malay speech recognition is becoming popular among Malaysian researchers. In Malay-sia, more local researchers are focusing on noise robust and accurate independent speaker speech recognition systems that use Malay language. The performance of speech recognition application under adverse noisy condition often becomes the topic of interest among speech recognition researchers in any languages. This paper presents a study of noise robust capa-bility of an improved vowel feature extraction method called Spectrum Delta (SpD). The fea-tures are extracted from both original data and noise-added data and classified using three classifiers; (i) Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), (ii) K- Nearest Neighbors (k-NN) and (iii) Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLR). Most of the dependent and independent speaker systems which use mostly multi-framed analysis, yielded accuracy between 89% to 100% for dependent speaker system and between 70% to 94% for an independent speaker. This study shows that SpD features obtained an accuracy of 92.42% to 95.11% using all the four classi-fiers on a single framed analysis which makes this result comparable to those analysed with multi-framed approach.

Background: Delta checks increase patient safety by identifying automated hematology analyzer errors. International standards and guidelines for the complete blood count (CBC) delta check method have not been established. We established an effective, practical CBC delta check method and criteria. Methods: We assessed five delta check methods for nine CBC items (Hb, mean corpuscular volume, platelet count, white blood cell [WBC] count, and five-part WBC differential counts) using 219,804 blood samples from outpatients and inpatients collected over nine months. We adopted the best method and criteria and evaluated them using 42,652 CBC samples collected over two weeks with a new workflow algorithm for identifying test errors and corrections for Hb and platelet count. Results: The median delta check time interval was 1 and 21 days for inpatients and outpatients (range, 1?20 and 1?222 days), respectively. We used delta values at 99.5% as delta check criteria; the criteria varied among the five methods and between outpatients and inpatients. The delta percent change (DPC)/reference range (RR) rate performed best as the delta check for CBC items. Using the new DPC/RR rate method, 1.7% of total test results exceeded the delta check criteria; the retesting and resampling rates were 0.5% and 0.001%, respectively. Conclusions: We developed an effective, practical delta check method, including RRs and delta check time intervals, and delta check criteria for nine CBC items. The criteria differ between outpatients and inpatients. Using the new workflow algorithm, we can identify the causes of criterion exceedance and report correct test results.
Binary Power Amplifier with 2-Bit Sigma-Delta Modulation Method for EER Transmitter

A novel power amplifier for a polar transmitter is proposed to achieve better spectral performance for a wideband envelope signal. In the proposed scheme, 2-bit sigma-delta (${\Sigma}{\Delta}$) modulation of the envelope signal is introduced, and the power amplifier configuration is modified in a binary form to accommodate the 2-bit digitized envelope signals. The 2-bit ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ modulator lowers the noise of the envelope signal by fine quantization and thus enhances the spectral property of the RF signal. The Ptolemy simulation results of the proposed structure show that the spectral noise is reduced by 10 dB in a full transmit band of the EDGE system. The dynamic range is also enhanced. Since the performance is improved without increasing the over-sampling ratio, this technique is best suited for wireless communication with high data rates.
Delta-form-based method of solving high order spatial discretization schemes for neutron transport

Delta-form-based methods for solving high order spatial discretization schemes are introduced into the reactor S<sub>N</sub> transport equation. Due to the nature of the delta-form, the final numerical accuracy only depends on the residuals on the right side of the discrete equations and have nothing to do with the parts on the left side. Therefore, various high order spatial discretization methods can be easily adopted for only the transport term on the right side of the discrete equations. Then the simplest step or other robust schemes can be adopted to discretize the increment on the left hand side to ensure the good iterative convergence. The delta-form framework makes the sweeping and iterative strategies of various high order spatial discretization methods be completely the same with those of the traditional S<sub>N</sub> codes, only by adding the residuals into the source terms. In this paper, the flux limiter method and weighted essentially non-oscillatory scheme are used for the verification purpose to only show the advantages of the introduction of delta-form-based solving methods and other high order spatial discretization methods can be also easily extended to solve the S<sub>N</sub> transport equations. Numerical solutions indicate the correctness and effectiveness of delta-form-based solving method.

BCY($Ba(Ce_{0.9}Y_{0.1})O_{3-\delta}$) oxide, shows high protonic conductivity at high temperatures, and are referred to as hydrogen separation membrane. For high efficiency of hydrogen separation ($H_2$ flux and selectivity) and low fabrication cost, ultimate thin and dense BCY-Ni layer have to be coated on a porous substrate such as $ZrO_2$. Aerosol depostion (AD) process is a novel technique to grow ceramic film with high density and nano-crystal structure at room-temperature, and would be applied to the fabrication process of AD integration ceramic layer effectively. XRD and SEM measurements were conducted in order to analyze the characteristics of BCY-Ni membrane fabricated by AD process.

오류 역전파 학습 알고리즘을 이용하여 영상 인식에 적용 할 경우에는 은닉층의 노드 수를 경험적으로 설정하므로, 학습시간과 지역최소화 및 정체현상이 발생한다. 그리고 ARTI 알고리즘은 입력 패턴과 저장 패턴간의 측정 방법인 유사성 검증 방법과 경계 변수의 설정에 따라 인식률이 좌우된다. 경계 변수의 값이 크면 입력 패턴과 저장 패턴사이에 약간의 차이만 있어도 새로운 카테고리(Category)로 분류하고, 반대로 경계 변수의 값이 적으면 입력 패턴과 저장 패턴 사이에 많은 차이가 있더라도 유사성이 인정되어 입력 패턴들을 대략적으로 분류한다. 따라서 ART1 알고리즘을 영상 인식에 적용하기 위해서는 경계 변수를 경험적으로 설정하므로 인식률에 부정적인 영향을 갖는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 개선된 ART1 알고리즘과 지도 학습 방법을 결합하여 신경망의 은닉층 노드를 동적으로 변화시키는 자가 생성지도 학습 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 신경망에서 입력층과 은닉층의 학습 구조에는 ART1 알고리즘을 개선하여 적용하고, 은닉층과 출력층의 학습 구조에는 은닉층에서 승자로 선택된 노드와 출력층 노드와 연결된 가중치만을 조정하고 Delta-Bar-Delta 알고리즘을 적용한다. 제안된 방법의 학습 성능을 분석하기 위하여 학생증 영상에서 추출한 학번 패턴 분류에 적용한 결과, 기존의 신경망 학습 알고리즘보다 학습 성능이 개선됨을 확인하였다.

영구자석 동기 전동기(PMSM)의 결선방법에 따라 전동기의 전압과 전류는 그 크기와 위상에 차이가 발생한다. 따라서, 결선을 고려한 영구자석 동기 전동기의 제어가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 와이 결선과 델타 결선된 전동기의 등가회로를 모델링하고, 델타 결선된 영구자석 동기 전동기의 구동 시스템에서 직류단 션트저항을 이용한 3상 전류 추정 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하였다.

This study investigated the yearly variation of pollutant loads outflowing from six watershed of Yeong-il Bay and compared the relationship of pollutant load and water quality, and estimated the Inner productivity of Yeong-Il Bay by using ${\Delta}COD$ method which analysis nonlinear process of water quality. As the estimated results for the pollutant loads of Yeong-Il Bay, total COD load outflowing from Hyeong-san river in flood season(summer) of 2001 year was 2275.0 kg/hr and in dry(low water) season(winter) 852.8 kg/hr, respectively. Load quantity in flood season was about 2.67 times than that in dry season. And as the calculated results of the net-flux of water for seven divisions, it showed that the net-flux of water increased for the divisions of the north coast and inner sea of Yeong-Il Bay but decreased for the south coast. On the contrary, for the cases which water quantity increase from land, the net-flux of water in estuary front of Hyeong-san river decreased but outflowing quantity of that though division of the south coast of Homi-got increased. Finally, this study compared the Inner productions for flood and dry season of Yeong-il Bay by using ${\Delta}COD$ method.

Oral fluid has become increasingly popular as an alternative specimen in the field of driving under the influence of drugs (DUID) and work place drug testing. In this study, an analytical method for the detection and quantification of ${\Delta}^9$-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and its metabolite, 11-nor-9-carboxy-${\Delta}^9$-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC-COOH) in oral fluid by SPE and GC-MS was established and fully validated. The stability of THC and THC-COOH in oral fluid during storage was also determined by examining the THC and THC-COOH concentration changes depending on time and container materials. Oral fluid samples were kept over 21 days at room temperature, $-4^{\circ}C$ and $-20^{\circ}C$ in two different specimen collection tubes; glass and polypropylene tubes. Three replicates for each condition with different temperature and types of a container were analyzed at five different time points over 21 days. When oral fluid samples were stored in glass tubes, the loss of both THC and THC-COOH was less than 10% at all room temperature, $-4^{\circ}C$ and $-20^{\circ}C$. However, in polypropylene tubes, the loss of both THC and THC-COOH increased significantly over the study period. In particular, the concentration of THC decreased more rapidly than that of THC-COOH at room temperature and the maximal percentage of THC lost was 90.3% after 21 days. The result indicates that it would be necessary to collect oral fluid samples in glass containers and cool the samples until analysis in order to prevent the degradation of analytes.
직접 모의방식에 의한 OP$\Delta$T & OT$\Delta$T 찬넬의 비가용도 분석

본 논문에서는, 임의의 계통신뢰도를 매우 단순화시킬 수 있는 직접 모의 방법을 제시하였다. 계통의 비가용도 측면에서, 본 방법은 고장수목을 하드웨어적으로 구성함으로서 계산과정을 단순화시킬 수 있었다. 계산도구로는 프랑스의 Laviron씨가 개발한 ESCAF을 사용하였다. 금번 연구에서는 PWR 발전소의 OP$\Delta$T St OT$\Delta$T 찬넬의 비가용도를 IEEE std. 500-1977의 제시된 자료를 근거로 치산하였으며, 그 값은 8.17576$\times$$10^{-9}$ 로 나타났다. 또한 계산시간은 25초 미만이었다.
In this paper, we suggest the simple and practical direct simulation method for the system reliability calculation In the aspect of system unavailability calculation, this method can simplify the calculation process by applying the hard-wired system fault tree. For the calculation purpose, we use the ESCAF which is developed by Mr. Laviron in France. As a consequence, we estimate the unavailability of OP$\Delta$T & OT$\Delta$T channel in W PWR plants as a value of 8.17576$\times$10$^{-9}$ from IEEE std. 500-1977's reference data. In our calculation, the processing time is no more than 25 sec.

This paper proposes a parameter estimation technique of a power transformer. Based on the combined equation, it estimates separately the primary and secondary leakage inductances, winding resistances using the least square method from the instantaneous voltages and currents in the steady state. The performance of the proposed technique was investigated by varying the cut-off frequency of the filter and the number of samples per cycle. The technique estimates the parameters with higher sampling frequencies.
