지식기반경제로의 경제 패러다임 쉬프트가 가속화됨에 따라 지적재산권에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 지적재산권에는 특허, 트레이드마크, 저작권 등이 있다. 이들 중에서 기업경쟁력에 큰 영향을 미치는 특허에 관한 다양한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하나의 신제품을 개발・생산하기 위한 특허가 다수이고, 그 다수의 특허가 각각 다른 소유권자에게 있는 경우, 특허덤불 문제(patent thicket problem)가 발생한다. 특허덤불 문제에는 royalty stacking, hold-up, anti-commons, complements problem 등 다양한 유형의 문제가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 문제들은 기술혁신에 걸림돌로 작용하고 있는바, 이들의 발생 원인과 해결방안에 관한 연구가 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 선행연구 및 사례를 살펴봄으로써 특허덤불 문제의 원인 및 해결방안을 모색해 보고자 한다.

This paper aims to systematically grasp the diverse meanings of the Complex Directional Complements ‘guolai(過來)/guoqu(過去)’. To achieve this, we categorize and analyze various types of ‘V+guolai(過來)/guoqu(過去)’ featuring non-motional high-frequency verbs into three main Macro Event types based on Talmy(2000)’s theory: the Motion Event, the Event of Realization, and the Event of State Change. In the process, we observe an interactive relationship between the passage path meaning of ‘guo(過)’ and the deictic components ‘lai(來)/qu(去)’, leading to a pattern of progressive subjectification and development. As ‘guo(過)’ is abstracted from a concrete spatial path to a passage path meaning in the temporal and qualitative domain, ‘lai(來)/qu(去)’ evolve from simple proximity/distance relative to the speaker to meanings reflecting the speaker’s subjective perceptions, such as desire/undesire and affirmation/negation. Such highly abstract meanings of ‘guolai(過來)/guoqu(過去)’ often lack direct counterparts in Korean or English, demonstrating a unique linguistic typological characteristic of Chinese while highlighting the difficulty for learners in acquiring these expressions. Therefore, this paper proposes a method to enhance learners’ usage ability of ‘guolai(過來)/guoqu(過去)’ by presenting it as a relevant PBL(Problem-Based Learning) ‘problem’ for learners to solve and internalize through self-directed learning.
