실천적 문제해결 교수·학습방법은 1990년대 초반에 중등 가정교과에 그리고 2007년 이후 실과 교 과에 다양한 용어로 소개되었으나 초등 교사들에게는 다소 추상적이고 어려운 경향이 있었다. 본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 현장에서 교사들이 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 실천적 문제해결 교수·학습방 법을 개발하고 이를 실과교육 분야에 적용한 수업모듈 설계 사례들을 개발하여 보다 전문성 있는 교사 교육 프로그램을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구 결과 기존의 연구들을 유형화하여 분류하고, 신상옥 등(2000)의 모형을 토대로 하여, Laster (1982), Oregon(1996), Ohio(1993) 등의 수업모형을 수정·보완하였으며, 개인의 ‘일상성’을 강조하며 초등학교에서 사용하기 쉬운 ‘개인 기반 실천적 문제해결 수업 모형’을 개발하였다. 개발된 수업 모형 은 1.실천적 문제 확인 2.문제의 배경 이해 3.행동의 계획 수립 4.실천하고 반성하기 등의 절차로 구성 되었으며 실천적 추론의 과정을 각 절차에 분산하여 포함시켜서 기대하는 목표설정, 문제의 맥락 이해, 바람직한 대안 탐색 등의 특징을 포함하도록 하였다. 또한 ‘가정생활’ 뿐만 아니라 ‘기술의 세계’에 적 용할 수 있는 수업 모듈의 예시를 개발하여 2022 실과교육과정의 5가지 영역에서 1개씩 개발하여 실 천적 문제해결 수업 방법이 실과 교과에서 보편적으로 활용될 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 개발된 수 업모형과 수업모듈은 6명의 전문가에게 타당도 검증을 받은 후 최종 수정하였다. 추후 보다 세밀한 수업지도안 및 수업 사례들을 개발하여 현장에서 활용도가 높은 수업 방법에 관 한 연구가 필요하다.

The practical problem‑solving teaching and learning method was initially introduced to secondary home economics education in the early 1990s and later expanded to Practical Arts(Technology and Home Economics Education) after 2007, but it was difficult for elementary teachers to understand. This study aims to develop a practical problem‑solving instructional model that can be readily implemented by elementary school teachers in school settings and to design lesson modules applying this model within the field. By classifying previous research and revising Shin et al.(2000), Laster(1982), Oregon(1990), Ohio (1993) models, the study presents a new refined model titled “Individual-based Practical Problemsolving instructional Model” focusing on “everydayness”. The model consists of four stages: 1. identifying a practical problem, 2. understanding its background, 3. planning actions, and 4. acting and reflecting. Each stage incorporates components of practical reasoning, including goal setting, contextual analysis, and the exploration of desirable alternatives. Furthermore, the study proposes adaptable lesson modules applicable to both “Family Life” and “The World of Technology,” suggesting pathways for the broader integration of practical problem‑solving instruction across the Practical Arts(Technology and Home Economics Education) Subject. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for future work to develop more detailed lesson plans and classroom cases, thereby enhancing the practical applicability of this instructional approach in real school classroom.
