The purpose of this study is the promotion of moral thinking faculty through a moral education. For the increase of moral thinking faculty, I research the increase of student's moral thinking faculty through a syllogism based on J.Wilson's moral components. The purpose of a moral education is 'the morally educated man'. The morally educated man is ought to keep reasonable and proper form of a thinking according to J.Wilson. The form of such a thinking is the moral components. In a syllogism, PHIL -the concept of a person- is the major premise of a syllogism, including in having the concept of a person, claiming the concept as a moral principle and having the concept supporting feeling of a person whether a person-supporting or a duty-supporting as a moral principle. The various methods makes the moral thinking faculty increase in the categorical syllogism, the hypothetical syllogism and the disjunctive syllogism and dilemma based on these PHIL. In this study I tried to research for various cases in the student's life, applying thinking faculty through a syllogism based on the concept of a person.

도덕적 사고력을 증진시키는 여러 가지 방법 중에서, 여기에서 연구하고자 하는 것은 ‘삼단 논법’을 통해 학생들의 도덕적 사고력을 증진하고자 하려는 것이다. 도덕 교육의 목적은 ‘도덕적으로 교육된 사람을 길러내는 일’이다. 윌슨(J. Wilson)에 의하면 도덕적으로 교육된 사람은 합리적이고 정당한 사고의 형식을 갖추어야 한다. 그런 사고의 형식이 바로 도덕성의 요소이다. 그 중에서 특히 대전제가 되고, 이론적 바탕이 되는 것이 바로 PHIL 즉 ‘사람의 개념’에 관한 것이다. 사람의 개념을 알고, 도덕원리로 주장하며, 지지하는 정서와 감정을 가지는 것이다. 이러한 PHIL에 기초하여 삼단 논법의 정언적, 가언적, 선언적, 딜레마의 원리에 비추어 학생들의 도덕적 사고력을 증진시키는 방법은 매우 다양하며 엄밀하다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 여러 가지 원리들을 연구해 보고 실례를 통해 학생들에게 적용시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
