Proper self-care of Church ministers is very important issue not only for himself/herself but for his/her family and church, even the whole society. For the problem of a minister is directly connected to the people around and the ministry itself. The very prior issue of self-care of ministers is conflict between the pastor and the staffs of a church. Ministry is all of the activities of a local church membership to accomplish its mission successfully. The Lord appoints ministers for His own church to fulfill the ministry. The pastor has an responsibility to lead the church and needs suitable assistants from church staffs for accomplishing various and professional areas of ministries. For the co-works among them, there should be good and intimate relationship between the pastor and staffs. Many church staffs, however, experience conflict situations in their life, especially related to the pastor. The goal of this paper is to research about conflict-issue of the church staffs to his/her pastor in the view point of minister’s self-care. So the researcher tried to identify several reasons of conflicts and suggested some strategies for solving and prevent the conflicts. The researcher explained several reasons of the conflicts of staffs such as: short of expectation, not clear job description, different style of ministry, lack of understanding of characteristics each other, unmature personality, shakable condition of the position and not proper support, unsatisfying present jobs, etc. And suggested several strategies for solving and prevent conflicts such as: strengthening assurance of the calling of staffs, setting up church’s bylaw of the position and job of the staffs, increasing understands of various styles of human characters, teaching how to deal conflicts, how to have good communication, how to be mature in personality and spirituality, modifying seminary curriculum, practicing proper leadership of the pastor. The best way is free from conflicts, but if the conflicts situation is happened, it must be controlled and solved properly. The pastor and staffs should be alert not the Satan comes into the conflicts. The researcher really wants and expects more studies follow in this issue.

목회자의 자기관리 문제는 목회자 자신뿐만 아니라 그의 가족과 그가 목회하고 있는 교회 그리고 사회 전반에 걸쳐 매우 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 왜냐 하면 목회자의 문제는 곧 그를 둘러싸고 있는 여러 사람들의 문제로 연결되기 때문이다. 목회자가 우선적으로 관심을 가져야 할 것은 목회자들 사이의 갈등 문제이다. 목회는 교회의 사명 성취를 위해 전체 교회 회중이 함께 이루어 가는 과업이다. 교회가 사명을 온전히 성취하도록 하나님께서는 목회자를 세워 주셨다. 담임목회자는 교회를 사역함에 있어서 전문화되고 다양해진 사역들을 균형 있게 이루기 위해 부목회자들의 협력을 필요로 한다. 담임목회자와 부목회자 사이에는 가장 친밀하고 유기적인 관계가 필요하다. 하지만 많은 부목회자들이 담임목회자와의 관계에서 갈등을 경험하고 있다. 이 논문은 목회자의 자기 관리라는 필요성에 입각하여 부목회자들이 겪는 갈등문제에 대한 연구이다. 먼저 부목회자에 대한 일반적인 이해에 기초하여 부목회자들이 겪고 있는 갈등의 이유들을 알아보고 그 해소 방안을 몇 가지 제안하였다. 갈등이 발생하는 여러 가지 요인이 있겠지만 이 논문에서는 기대감 미충족으로 인한 갈등, 업무 지침 불분명으로 인한 갈등, 목회관의 차이에서 오는 갈등, 성격차이에서 비롯되는 갈등, 인격적인 미성숙으로 말미암는 갈등, 신분의 불안정성과 상대적 박탈감에서 기인되는 갈등, 현재 담당하고 있는 사역에 대한 불만족에서 오는 갈등, 등에 대해 알아보았다. 갈등 해소 방안으로는 부목회자 직분에 대한 소명의식 확립, 부목회자 제도에 대한 교회적인 체계 마련, 인간 기질과 성격에 대한 상호 이해 증진, 갈등 처리 방법에 대한 교육, 효과적인 커뮤니케이션, 인격적 성숙과 영성 개발, 신학교육의 개선, 담임목회자의 관심 증대 등에 대해 설명하였다. 갈등이 발생하지 않도록 하는 것이 최선이나 갈등이 발생하면 적절하게 자기 관리를 해야 하고, 마귀로 틈을 타지 못하게 하기 위해 늘 깨어 있어야 한다. 부목회자의 갈등 문제에 대한 더욱 세밀한 연구가 이어지기를 기대한다.
