The present study was attempted to explore the relationships between subjective age and life satisfaction as well as health concerns. Eight hundred and nineteen participants from 15 to 80
years of age were asked about their subjective ages of both physical and mental dimensions. The questionnaires about health concerns and life satisfaction were also administered to them. In
teens and twenties, physical and mental subjective age could predict life satisfaction, but only physical subjective age did health concerns. Whereas over thirties, chronological age and physical subjective age could predict both life satisfaction and health concerns. In addition, those who held younger identification of subjective age in physical dimensions showed higher life
satisfaction, but who held younger and older in mental dimensions showed higher life satisfaction than did same age identification. And those who held younger in both dimensions showed higher health concerns.

본 연구에서는 신체적 및 정신적 차원의 주관적 연령이 각각 생활만족과 건강관심에 어느 정도 영향을 미치는가를 알아보았으며, 또 연대기적 연령과 두 차원의 주관적 연령의 불일치 유형에 따른 생활만족과 건강관심의 차이를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 15세에서 80세까지의 남녀 819명에게 주관적 연령, 생활만족도, 그리고 건강관심에 대한 질문지에 응답하도록 했다. 그 결과 10대와 20대의 경우, 신체적 및 정신적 주관연령이 모두 생활만족을 유의하게 예언했지만, 건강관심에 대해서는 신체적 주관연령만이 예언하고 있었다. 반면 30대 이상의 경우, 연대기적 연령과 신체적 주관연령만이 생활만족과 건강관심 척도를 유의하게 예언해주었다. 또한 두 차원의 주관적 연령을 실제 나이보다 더 젊거나 나이 들게 지각한 집단이 동일하게 지각한 집단보다 생활만족도가 높았고, 건강관심의 경우에는 실제 보다 더 젊게 지각한 집단에서 유의하게 높게 나타났다.
