- In spite of forming a large majority of all of the commercial buildings small-sized commercial buildings, enough to be called representative ones, have many problems such as lack of clear understanding of small-sized commercial buildings and their disharmony with the cityscape resulting from signboards jumbled up closely together and the building remodeling preformed at random, compared to large-sized buildings and the building style constructed through
small investment.
For the improvement of the cityscape facade remodeling is wedging its way. Through this study I will point out the problems and individual characteristics of the main factors consisting of all facade of small-sized commercial buildings, trying to find the clear solutions to various problems shown in such buildings and presenting fundamental data for facade remodeling plan for small-sized commercial buildings.
This purpose of this study is to analyze the points at issue of facade after the analysis of the elements which can have decisive impact on building process , building factors and types of facade of commercial buildings. For my study I selected the town called Cheongju city Seongangil, which is commercial building densely built-up area and recognized highly as place of many different culture and entertainment, and after investigation and analysis of the
aesthetical and structural elements, characteristics by types I will present solutions to the problems with the commercial buildings through remodeling by inducing my theory produced on the basis of the results.
