- Much research on the quality assessment of simultaneous interpretation have been carried out by interpreters in the past and nowadays increasingly by end-users. This paper demonstrates how professional interpreters asses the quality of the pivot in relay interpretation settings in Korea where relay interpretation is commonly used in multilingual conferences since most interpreters usually have only two working languages. This paper also contains a survey that explores the quality assessment criteria set by professional interpreters suggesting a difference in criteria between simultaneous interpretation and relay interpretation.
