- Underground public pedestrian facility(UPPF) can be treated their vitalization in various dimensions, but the fundamental research to investigate first is understanding users' consciousness responses of a facility. The aim of the study is extracting the applicable planning considerations to build and remodel UPPF from the viewpoint of users who are the main body of
putting use of the facilities. There are 3 UPPFs in Gyeongnam province(2 of Masan, 1 of Jinju), one of them which does not operate normally due to striking market weakness is excluded from the research. The use subjects of UPPF can classify into pedestrians(shoppers) and workers. Thus the research make up questionnaires both two subjects(pedestrians:82, workers:79) to
get the responses of users' consciousness. As a result, some significant findings are below. ①The terrible problems of UPPF are poor IEQ(Indoor Environment Quality) and design. ②The elements of users request about a interior design are characteristic, brightness, lightness. ③There are needed to plan some references to get orientation in UPPF.
