This study analyzed the contents of the 225 papers included in Korea Security
Science Association during the decade -from 1997 to 2007. This study was
classified the study method qualitative
First, characteristic of researchers(distinction of sex, distinction of academic
degree, regional distribution, one's position and regional distribution, participants
per paper). Second, study trends classified by fields of study( where receiving
research expenses support or not, change of study subject). Third, study trends
classified by methods of study(study method by year, study method by study
subject, statistical analysis by year) were subdivided. Analysis shows that there
are some shortcomings on the research of Korea Security Science Association as
compared with other fields. However, it shows advanced trends for example
participation in different study field, evenly distributed regional study
participation, variety trial of analysis method. Then again, the distinction of sex,
one's position, too much emphasis on independence research, vulnerability about
support of research expenses, emphasis on study fields and study trends
wandering from industrial circles are getting deeper In study methods,
generalized research form such as document study and phenomenon technical
case study is limited so deduction of kernel result is not thoroughgoing enough as
well as it shows the trend that limits to duplicate and generalized proposal
technic

본 연구는 한국 경호경비학의 연구경향을 분석하기 위해 1997년부터 2007년까
지 한국경호경비학회 학술지 󰡔한국경호경비학회지󰡕에 게재된 총 14권 225편의 논
문을 대상으로 내용분석을 시도하였으며, 크게 세 가지 방향으로 구분하여 접근하
였다. 첫째, 연구자의 특성별 경향(성별 분포, 학위별 분포, 소속기관과 지역별 분포,
논문편당 참여인원분포), 둘째, 연구영역별 연구경향(연구비 지원여부, 연구주제의 변
화), 셋째, 연구방법별 연구경향(연도별 연구방법, 연구주제별 연구방법, 연도별 통계
분석 기법)으로 세분화하였다. 분석 결과, 󰡔한국경호경비학회지󰡕의 연구는 타 분야에
비해 상대적으로 미흡한 부분이 다소 있지만 다양한 분야에서의 연구 참여, 골고루
분포된 지역별 연구 참여, 다양한 분석방법의 시도 등으로 인해 날로 발전하고 있는
경향임을 발견할 수 있었다. 그러나 반면 성별과 소속기관 그리고 단독연구의 지나
친 편중, 연구비 지원에 대한 취약성, 연구 분야의 편중 그리고 산업계와 엇갈리고
있는 연구방향 등은 보다 심화되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 연구 방법에서는
문헌연구나 현상 기술적 사례분석과 같은 일반적인 연구에 국한되어 있어서 핵심결
과 도출이 다소 미흡할 뿐만 아니라, 중복적이고 형식적인 제언 등에서 그치는 경향
을 보였다. 따라서, 경호경비학이 지금보다 더 나은 발전을 거듭하기 위해서는 더
욱 다양한 분야에서 연구에 참여할 수 있도록 장려하고, 산업계의 발전 방향과 흐
름을 파악하기 위해서 한층 더 세련된 통계기법의 활용과 적절한 연구방법을 구사
하도록 하며, 동시에 연구자들의 지속적인 노력이 병행되어야 할 것이다
