The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of thinking styles and goal orientation on learning motivation among university dance students. 456 university dance students(male=45, female=411) participated in this study and responded to questionnaires of thinking styles, academic goal orientation, and learning motivation. The statistical methods were exploratory
factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows. (1) the effects of thinking styles on learning motivation explained 44% of total variance and its relative contribution was in order of judicial, orligarchic, liberal, local, global, and executive style. (2) the effects of goal orientation on learning motivation explained 21% of the total variance in order of mastery approach, performance avoidance, and performance approach. (3) the effects of thinking styles and goal orientation on learning motivation explained 47% of the total variance in order of judicial, liberal, performance avoidance, mastery approach, conservative. (4) the moderated effect of thinking styles and academic goal orientation on academic learning motivation was insignificant(p>.05).

본 연구의 목적은 무용과 대학생의 사고양식과 목표성향이 학습동기에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 총 456명의 무용과 대학생(남=45명, 여=411명)을 대상으로 사고양식, 학업적 목표지향성, 학습동기 검사가 실시되었다. 자료분석은 탐색적 요인분석과 신뢰성 검증, 기술통계, 상관분석, 단계적 다중회귀분석, 상호작용효과 검증을 위한 F검증이 실시되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 학습동기에 대한 사고양식의 설명력은 약 44%였으며, 상대적 기여도는 사법적, 과두제, 자유적, 지엽적, 전체적, 행정적 사고양식 순으로 모두 유의하였다. (2) 학습동기에 대한 목표성향의 설명력은 약 21%로서 숙달접근, 수행회피, 수행접근 순으로 유의하였다. (3) 학습동기에 대한 사고양식과 목표성향의 설명력은 약 47%로 사법적, 자유적, 수행회피, 숙달접근, 보수적 순으로 기여하였다. (4)학습동기에 대한 사고양식과 목표성향의 중재효과는 나타나지 않았다(p>.05).
