The 21st century of Japan is called “Age of the large exchange“, so it is paid attention to the rend of sightseeing and the local revitalization by the tourism industry is expected. According to the announcement of World Travel Organization in March 2007, the number of rrivals of overseas tourists from all over the world reached over 800 million people in 2005 and marked the highest figures in history. Its growth rate was 5.5% increase compared with the previous year, showing gone growth rate. On the other hand, when we see the trend of Japanese tourists, the number of overseas tourists was about 17.53 million people in 2006, next to the highest figure in 2000. Although the growth rate is 0.8% increase, a slight rise compared with the previous year, it keeps the increase keynote. Moreover, the number of foreign travelers visiting Japan in the same year was 7.33 million people, which marked the highest figure in the past, and 8.9% increase compared with the previous year. The number of tourists in Japan and all parts of the world is in the extension keynote and e “Age of large exchange” starts entering steadily. Under the circumstances, the sightseeing promotion of Japan and of Toyama Prefecture was launched. In Japan, the action aiming to be “the sightseeing nation” has been started since 2003. “The basic law of sightseeing” enacted in 1963 was revised totally as “basic law of promotion of Sightseeing nation” in 2006 and according to the “Basic plan for the promotion of sightseeing on”, various measures are taken. Meanwhile, also in Toyama prefecture, aiming at the achievement of “sightseeing prefecture”, “Strategy of action plan in futureToyama” are settled on while using various measure of the government as a fair wind. First of all in this paper, I would like to confirm the outline of the Japanese sightseeing policy and to examine the direction of promoting the sightseeing in Toyama Prefecture. Referring to the recent survey data, I will analyze the trend for sightseeing of the modern panese people and their action. In addition, considering the change of modern Japanese traveler’s sness and action for sightseeing and accounting various resources for tourism in Toyama, I would like to mention its feasibility of the development and the promotion for new sightseeing tours in yama Prefecture. Then, I would like to refer to some issue at the end.
본 학회는 2003년부터 동북아 경상연구회의 회원들을 중심으로 동북아 지역의 학회참석을 계기로 한중일 관광학회의 중요성을 인식하게 되었습니다. 특히 우리와 인접국인 일본, 중국의 동북아 지역은 관광인적교류에서 중요한 국가이며, 상대국 또한 그 중요성을 간과할 수 없는 현실입니다. 따라서 본 학회는 한중일 3국에 학회지부회를 두어 3국의 학자들을 중심으로 관광연구를 활성화하는데 있습니다. 본 학회의 사업내용을 보면, 첫째, 연2회 이상 학술발표회를 개최합니다. 특히, 학술발표회는 동북아지역의 인적교류확대방안, 동북아지역의 산관학의 협력강화방안에 관한 사업 내용을 중심으로 연구발표회를 개최합니다. 둘째, 동북아지역의 연구자들을 중심으로 한국어, 영어, 중국어, 일어를 사용한 동북아 관광연구저널을 연 2회 이상 발행하여 동북아지역의 국제저널로서의 위상정립을 합니다. 셋째, 한,중,일 우수연구자의 저서를 상대국언어로 번역출판하며 한,중,일 연구자들을 중심으로 전문저서를 공동저술 합니다.
