This study is aimed at verifying the improvement of linguistic ability and cognitive and emotional creativity appeared after developing a linguistic creativity improvement program and applying it to classes. To verify this, this study was conducted on 112 third and sixth grade students in Jeonju elementary schools. A linguistic creativity improvement program was applied to third graders through 48 sessions, and to sixth graders through 68 sessions. After the application, a linguistic ability test, a cognitive creativity test and an emotional creativity test were conducted and were verified through a t-test. After the application of the linguistic creativity improvement program, a significant difference was found between the groups of sixth graders in linguistic ability, cognitive and emotional creativity. However, there was no significant difference between the groups of third graders. As a result, it is considered that programs for improving linguistic ability, cognitive and emotional creativity, and linguistic creativity are more suitable for sixth graders than third graders. Thus, it is recognized that linguistic creativity improvement programs are more effective to higher graders rather than lower graders. It was confirmed that the linguistic ability and creativity of higher graders are more easily improved by teaching creative thinking and attitude through languages, compared to lower graders.

본 연구는 언어적 창의성 신장 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 적용한 수업을 실시하여 적용후에 나타난 언어능력과 인지적․정의적 창의성에 대한 차이를 검증하는데 그 목적이있다. 이 문제를 검증하기 위해 전주시 초등학교 3학년과 6학년 112명을 대상으로, 언어적 창의성신장 프로그램을 적용한 수업은 3학년 48차시, 6학년은 68차시였다. 적용이 끝나고 언어능력검사, 인지적 창의성 검사, 정의적 창의성 검사를 실시하여 t검증을 통해 효과를 검증했다. 언어적 창의성 신장 프로그램 적용 후에 6학년은 언어능력과 인지적․정의적 창의성이 집단간에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으나, 3학년에서는 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 결과로 언어능력, 인지적․정의적 창의성과 언어적 창의성 신장프로그램은 3학년보다 6학년에 더 적힙한 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 언어적 창의성 신장 프로그램은 저학년보다는 고학년에서 효과가 있음을 인정할 수 있다. 저학년 보다는 고학년이 창의적 사고나 창의적 태도를 언어를 통해 가르침으로써 언어능력과 창의적 능력을 신장 시킬 수 있음이 확인되었다.
