- The planted roof, like natural green land, can provide the space where the animals and plants can dwell and also enables the building to prepare for the flood and exhaustion of underground water by reserving the precipitation fallen to the top 문 delaying time of outflow. In addition, it can decrease the amount of energy consumption for air cooling and heating, and specially weaken the heat islad phenomenon of urban by reflecting the excessive solar radiation which comes into the inside of buildings. There are also other benefits which roof planting provides such as purification of air, creation of oxygen, offer of rest ane recreation.
The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of planning factors and improvement of a green roof system. To accomplish this purpose, we analyse the six building based on the green roof system in Japan, America, Canada, Britain. As a result, we were able to classify the characteristic of planning factors and improvement of a green roof system.
