The purpose of this study was to explore constituent factors of technological capability and characters of its interaction of elementary students. To achieve the purpose of this study following two questions of research were established. (1) What are the major factors that comprise technological capability of elementary students? (2) How are the characteristics of interaction of another factors? Research methods in this study were quality research. The samples of students were drawn from grade 4(n=4) and grade 5(n=4). The data of this study were collected video recording of student protocol and activity, interviews, observation. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. 4 factors of capability consisting of technological capability were drawn out. which were practical skills, resources, evaluating, reflective thinking. 2. The patterns of interaction appeared at four forms : PS/R/E;×××, PS/R/E: ×0× PS/R/E:×00, PS/R/E: OOO. A deeper analysis of interactions showed how important the practical skills, evaluating, resources in technological problem solving.

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 기술적 능력에 영향을 미치는 요인들과 그것들의 상호작용 특성을 질적으로 탐색하는데 있다. 연구 문제는 첫째, 초등학생의 기술적 능력을 구성하는 주요한 요소들은 무엇인가? 둘째, 초등학생의 기술적 능력의 구성 요소들간의 상호작용 특성은 어떠한가?이다. 이 연구의 문제를 해결하기 위해 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 자료 수집 방법으로는 비디오 녹화, 관찰 기록, 면담 등을 이용하였다. 연구 대상은 초등학교 4학년 4명과 5학년 4명이었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 기술적 능력을 구성하는 요인으로는 실천적 능력, 자원, 평가하기, 반성적 사고가 도출되었다. (2) 상호작용의 패턴은 4가지 유형으로 나타났다. 그것은 PS/R/E가 모두 부적절한 사례, PS/E는 부적절하나 R은 적절한 사례, PS는 부적절하나 R/E는 적절한 사례, PS/R/E모두 적절한 사례이다. 기술적 문제해결 과정에서 나타난 이러한 사례들은 기술적 능력 요소들의 상호작용 특성과 그 요소들이 문제해결의 성패에 미치는 영향을 설명하고 있다.
