Ecological suffering is common to all parts of the globe and all species on the earth. In this context, this study is initiated by the need for living on ecological life from the perspective of christian education.
Thomas Berry suggests that the earth is a medium of the revelation of God, Salle Mcfague takes up the position that theological imagination, emotion, and new language for post–modern society is needs. Lonardo Boff contends that ecology has to do with the relation, interaction, and dialogue of all living creatures (whether alive or not) among themselves and with all that exists. This includes not only nature but culture and society (human ecology, social ecology, and so on). From an ecological viewpoint everything that exists, co exists. We need to emphasize
the importance of a correct understanding of creation spirituality that have been withering since the theology of Augustin, the so–called, fall/redemption theologies.
This paper focuses on four way for a christian education of creation spirituality, in other words, the via positiva, the via negativa, the via creativa, and the via transformativa. The via positiva is a way of tasting the beauties and cosmic death of creation, which means us and everything else. To put it concretely, it is a christian education to give an answer to God’s hospitality in the creation world. The via negativa opens us to our divine depths and teaches us that the depth of nothingness is directly related to the experience of everythingness. We learn we are cosmic beings not only in our joy and ecstasy but also in contemplation of pain, sorrow, emptiness, and darkness. The via creativa explores that creativity is a cosmic energy, cosmic birthing itself. In other words, art is the basic form of meditation in the creation–centered tradition. With art as meditation, we truly listen to the cosmos within us and around us and give birth to the ongoing cosmogenesis of our world and worlds. With art as meditation, creation as blessing is recovered and our trust in letting go is affirmed.
The via transformativa challenges us to be transformers not merely of structures but surely of religious ones as well. In the interest of creation spirituality, The compassion in christian
education is the requirements of the via transformativa.

생태의 문제가 생존의 문제로 의식될 만큼 심각한 현대 사회 속에서 기독교인들의 생태적 삶을 위한 기독교교육의 과제와 가능성에 관한 이론적 고찰을 하고자 한다.
생태문제에 대한 활발한 신학적 논의 중에서 지구가 계시의 매개체임을 제시하는 토마스 베리, 오늘날 신학의 과제는 현재의 위기와 변화된 사회의 특징을 담지하지 못하는 낡은 신학적 상상력과 감수성, 그리고 종교적 언어의 한계를 해체하고 새로운 언어로 하나님과 인간, 자연의 관계를 재구성하는 것이라고 제안하는 샐리 맥페그, 생태문제는 단지 자연하고만 관계가 있는 것이 아니다. 사회나 문화와 관계가 있음을 강조하며 모든 존재의 연대성과 상호작용 속에서 공동운명체로서 인간의 책임과 의무를 강조하는 레오나르도 보프의 논의를 고찰한다. 이러한 논의 속에서 공통적으로 발견할 수 있는 하나님과 자연과 인간의 연대성과 상호성에 대한 신앙적 인식을 위한 모색으로 타락/구원의 모형에 관한 신학적 강조로 지나치게 축소되어온“창조영성”회복을 제안한다.
“창조영성”형성을 위한 기독교교육으로서 긍정의 길, 부정의 길, 창조의 길, 변모의 길의 네 차원에서 각각, 하나님이 베푸신 창조의 신비와 우주적 환대에 응답하는 교육, 자기 비움의 과정, 즉 관상을 통하여 자기 비움을 실현하고 이를 통하여 신적 은총을 경험하는 교육, 우주를 창조하신 예술가로서 하나님의 피조물로서 자연, 시, 그림, 등과 같은 예술에 대한 묵상을 통하여 창조의 경험에 동참하는 교육, 시간의 성스러움을 회복함으로 하나님과 인간과 자연의 본래적 관계에 관한 인식의 회복뿐 아니라 연민을 통해 공동체의 삶을 위한 구체적 생활양식을 설계하고 실천함으로 새 창조계를 실현하는 교육 등을 제안한다.
