에고이즘을 통한 인간상 고찰 - 아쿠타가와 류노스케 『나생문(羅生門)』과 나쓰메 소세키『마음(こころ)』을 중심으로 -

In these two works, the writer shows the type of people 「The old man」and「The teacher」who rationalize themselves having illogical and inconsistent lives separated from the society. However, this rationalization points out that even though the humans eager to have a perfect and complete life, they are just egoism beings. Therefore, the fact that the humans revealed by the egoism are all lonely and solitary is pinpointed. Through 「The old man」and「The teacher」, akutagawa ryunosuke and natume soseki show that humans have egoism inside of them. Also, they describe the contradiction on the life and human saying the conflict and humans' inside darkness caused by egoism. However, they try to have continuos self-examinations on humans' lives and pursue the truth of the life by creating 「The old man」and「The teacher」. By examining these two main characters, the fact that a human can change into several various characters by the environment and the third factor is revealed.
