The purpose of this study was to examine the systematical factors of the self/family/extrafamilial
system based on the eco-system of the typical environment in which adolescents are brought
up. Subjects of this study 1,410 adolescents in Chungbuk Province(412 middle school, 998 high
school students). The results of the research were as follows.
The results showed that self system factors(physical maturity, deviant behaviors, sexual urge,
self-esteem), family system factors(family structure, parental supervision, communication with
parents), and extrafamilial system factors(contact with delinquent peers, attachment to school,
Internet using time) depend on the general background (sex, age, parents' education, economic
status, school grades). Therefore, it is critical to understand the situational and the environmental
context when viewing and trying to understand an adolescent. Adolescents' growth-related matters must be viewed in a multi-systematical perspective while acknowledging their diversity. Also, in order to support their healthy growth, it is important that we approach this issue in multi-facets as a whole by connecting and integrating family, school, and society while focusing on individuals.

이 연구의 목적은 청소년의 보편적 성장환경과 관련하여 생태체계적 모형을 토대로 개인·가족·주변 환경 체계요인을 탐색해보고자 하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 충청북도에 거주하고 있는 청소년 1,410명(중학생 412명, 고등학생 998명)을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
청소년의 일반적인 생활배경(성, 연령, 부학력, 모학력, 경제수준, 학교성적)에 따라 개인(신체성숙, 비행행동, 성충동, 자존감)·가족(가족구조, 부모감독, 부모와의 의사소통)·주변 환경(비행친구접촉, 학교와의 애착, 인터넷 사용시간)체계 요인이 다른 것으로 조사되었다. 그러므로 청소년을 바라보고 이해할 때는 상황적·환경적 맥락을 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 또한 청소년 성장관련 요인은 그들의 다양성을 고려하여 다체계적 관점에서 이해해야 한다. 그리고 그들의 건강한 성장발달을 지원하기 위해서는 청소년 개인에 초점을 맞추되 가정과 학교 및 사회를 상호 연계하고 통합하여 다면적이고 총체적으로 접근하는 것이 필요하다.
