This study examines the difficulties of kindergarten teachers responsible for them through in-depth interviews. The Subjects are ten kindergarten teachers responsible for them in Gyeong-Gi, Chung-Nam, Gyeong-Buk, and Jeon-Buk providences. The result of this research were shows that first, they were troubled with the lack of theoretical knowledge and experience with those children in running the curriculum and with the limitations of actual applications. Second, their relationships with the children, they confessed difficulty with those who required extra attentions from them or those who were ignored due to relatively lower interest. Third, their relationships with their parents, the parents' closed attitude based on the isolated family history and polarized expectations for their children were the obstacles to the teachers' forming cooperative relations with them. Finally, they cited the aggravated institutional burden, partial coverage by the press, and lack of social and economic support as the difficulties to deal with for themselves in terms of social support.

본 연구는 결혼이민자 가정 유아들과 함께 하는 교육 실행에 대한 교사들의 어려움을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 경기, 충남, 경북, 전북 지역의 유치원에서 근무하며 현재 결혼이민자 자녀를 담임하고 있는 유아교사 10명이며, 연구 방법은 주로 반구조화된 질문을 사용한 심층면담을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 교육과정 운영 측면에서는 유아에 대한 이론적 지식과 경험의 부족, 실제적 적용에 있어서의 한계로 인한 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 또한 유아와의 관계 측면에서는 교사의 손길이 별도로 필요한 유아와 상대적으로 관심이 저조하여 묻혀지는 유아에 대한 어려움을, 부모와의 관계 측면에서는 차단된 가정사로 인한 부모의 폐쇄적 태도와 자녀에 대한 양극화된 기대로 인한 부모의 부적절한 교육태도가 협력적 관계형성의 걸림돌로 작용함으로써 생기는 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 마지막으로, 교사들은 사회적 지원 측면에서 제도적으로 가중된 부담과 언론의 편파적인 접근 및 사회경제적 지원 부족으로 인해 결혼이민자 가정 유아를 담당하는 것이 홀로 감당해야 하는 짐으로 인식되어져 어려워하고 있었다.
