In order to understand the real situation of Korean school's personality-education, This disputant has looked into and analysed on the forms or necessaries for personality-education and studies of really moral education that many tutor reported, the personality-education's data bundles of special research institute and so forth. As a result, we recognized that Korean personality-education would usually depend on Thomas Lickona's theory of personality-education. This theory of personality-education is an integrated personality-education. It is the education that carries into each a cognitive morality-development education, sentiment morality-development education, practical morality-development education, and takes these education results well to be integrated in each a student's inner mind. After having examined the 7th education policy and the situations of school's personalty-education in Korea now, we are able to cognize that because of not carries into welly three morality-development education in a given bad condition, Korean school cannot do those integrated personality-education. Unlikely with Lickona's thought, because a personality is not the integrative body of cognitive morality, sentiment morality, practical morality, it is anything that cannot be build up and be formed by means of these integration. A personality is a subject of spiritual life and reversely something that can unintentionally be build up and be formed in a spiritual life. And then unlikely with Lickona's theory of personality-education, A personality intentionally and under any project may not be build up. It is convinced in many famous scholar and saint that the faculty which used to integrate upper moralities and itself to build up a personality is innately given in human nature. Therefore it is the organical integrated education that takes a student himself well to actualize this faculty. The organical integrated education may be less confused than Lickona's mechanical integrated education, may be a more effective personality-education in the situations which Korean schools have in really given conditions.

한국의 학교인성교육 실상을 파악하기 위해서 인성교육 실천사례, 도덕분과의 현장교육연구 그리고 전문 연구기관의 인성교육 자료집 등을 조사․연구해 보았다. 그 결과로 한국의 학교인성교육은 대체로 토마스 리코나의 인격교육론에 의지한 통합적 인성교육 방향으로 행함을 알 수 있다. 학교인성교육은 도덕적 인지력발달 교육, 도덕적 정서발달 교육 그리고 도덕적 실천성발달 교육을 각기 다 행하고, 이 결과가 학생 개인 내면에서 잘 통합되도록 기대하는 것이다. 그런데 현재 제7차 교육과정의 교육 시책과 단위학교의 교육 현황을 조사해 보면, 상기 방식으로 행해야 하는 리코나식의 통합적 인격교육은 학교 실정상 어렵다는 것을 알 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 인성이 도덕적 인지력, 도덕적 정서 그리고 도덕적 실천성의 통합체가 아니므로, 인성교육은 이것들의 통합을 통해서 자연스럽게 형성되거나 길러지는 것이 아님을 알 수 있다. 따라서 리코나의 인격교육론처럼 인성을 의도적으로 어떤 기획 하에 기르려고 해서는 안될 것이다. 도덕적 인지력, 도덕적 정서, 도덕적 실천성의 도덕성들을 통합하기도 하고 인성을 스스로 기르는 능력 자체가 인간에게 본래 주어져 있음은 여러 선지자들로부터 확인되는 바이다. 그러므로 이 능력이 인간에게 선천적으로 있는 고로, 리코나의 통합교육을 하기에 현실 여건이 따라주지 않는 상황에서 인성 자체의 고양을 위한 교양 교육 즉 유기체론적 통합인격교육으로서 인성교육을 생각해 볼 수 있다.
