The purpose of this study is to determine the mediating effect of teacher efficacy between preschool teachers’ knowledge of eye health and eye health guidance activities. A survey was conducted with 128 preschool teachers using an online questionnaire. The goodness of fit and hypothesis testing of the proposed path were conducted using the maximum likelihood method for covariate structural analysis. According to the mediation effect analysis, the direct effect between eye health knowledge and eye health guidance activities was not significant, but the indirect effect was significant(β=.060, p=.013). Eye health knowledge was found to have an indirect effect on eye health guidance activities through teacher efficacy. In the future, the results of this study may be used to develop programs that can enhance preschool teachers’ teacher efficacy.

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 눈건강 지식과 눈건강 지도행위 사이에서 교사효능감의 매개효과를 파악하는 것이다. 유아교사를 대상으로 온라인 설문조사로 진행되었으며, 총 128명이 참여하였다. 가설 경로의 부합도 및 가설 검증은 최대우도법(maximum likeli-hood method)의 공변량 구조분석을 시행하였고, 매개효과의 유의성 검증은 bootstrapping 방법으로 분석하였다. 매개효과분석 결과, 눈건강 지식과 눈건강 지도행위 사이의 직접 효과는 유의하지 않았으나, 간접효과를 검증한 결과, β=.060(p=.013)으로 유의하게 나타났다. 눈건강 지식이 눈건강 지도행위에 교사효능감을 거쳐 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후, 유아교사의 교사효능감을 향상시키기 위한 프로그램 개발에 본 연구 결과를 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
