Field Validation of an Electrical Disaster Risk Index (EDRI) and Lift-Based Evaluation of Electrical Safety Inspection Prioritization
This study evaluated the field applicability of a Cascade CatBoost-based Electrical Disaster Risk Index (EDRI) through field validation of 23 top-ranked buildings in Gwangju, Korea. SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) were used to interpret major risk signals. The results showed that 56.5% were rated Grade C or lower, 30.4% were Grade D or E, and 82.6% exhibited electrical abnormalities; the retrospective Lift for the top 10% based on historical fire labels ranged from 4.77 to 6.18. Because no random comparison group was included, field-validation Lift was not estimated. The findings indicated the need to incorporate recent electrical work, facility replacement, and maintenance information, with prospective validation using a random comparison group required.

Ever since next generation convergence technology became one of the most important industries in the nation, computing professionals have encountered a growing number of challenges. Along with scholars and colleagues in related fields, they have gathered in avariety of forums and meetings over the last few decades to share their knowledge, experiences and the outcome of their research. These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
