Teacher efficacy is a key factor influencing the quality of early childhood education and care, and the importance of relational competencies for enhancing teacher efficacy has been increasingly emphasized. However, previous studies have primarily examined communication competence and interpersonal competence independently, with limited attention to their relative contributions within an integrated framework. We investigated the relationships among communication competence, interpersonal competence, and teacher efficacy, and examined the relative effects of communication competence and interpersonal competence on teacher efficacy among early childhood teachers. The participants were 261 teachers working in kindergartens and childcare centers in G City. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 23.0. The results indicated that both communication competence and interpersonal competence were positively correlated with teacher efficacy and significantly predicted teacher efficacy. Among the sub-factors, attentive listening in communication competence and consideration for others in interpersonal competence showed the strongest predictive effects on teacher efficacy. We demonstrated the relative contributions of these two relational competencies by integrating them into a single research model, extending previous research and providing practical implications for teacher education programs and support strategies to enhance teacher professionalism and the quality of early childhood education and care.

본 연구는 영유아교사의 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성 및 교사효능감 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향력을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G시에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하는 영유아교사 261명이며, 의사소통능력, 대인관계유능성 및 교사효능감 검사도구를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 상관관계분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 영유아교사의 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성은 교사효능감과 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 두 변인 모두 교사효능감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 의사소통능력의 하위요인에서는 집중이, 대인관계유능성의 하위요인에서는 타인에 대한 배려가 교사효능감에 가장 영향력이 높은 변인으로 확인되었다. 기존 연구가 의사소통능력과 대인관계유능성을 각각 독립적으로 검증한 것과 달리, 우리는 두 변인을 통합적 연구모형에 적용하여 교사효능감에 대한 상대적 영향력을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 관계적 역량이 영유아교사의 교사효능감을 설명하는 핵심 요인임을 확인하였으며, 교사의 전문성 향상과 보육·교육의 질 제고를 위한 교사교육 프로그램 및 현장 지원 방안 마련의 기초자료를 제공하였다.
