In this study, we analyzed the impact response characteristics and structural integrity of a shipboard antenna mounting using digital twin-based finite element analysis (FEA). The target structure features an antenna protruding in a cantilever configuration, making the mounting joint susceptible to stress concentration under shock conditions. Naval equipment must ensure structural integrity against shock loads transmitted during underwater explosions and combat operations; it is crucial to verify this shock resistance in advance through modeling and simulation (M&S) prior to actual testing. To analyze this, a digital twin model was constructed based on the actual geometry, and a transient response analysis was performed by converting the shock response spectrum (SRS) specified in the German Navy’s shock resistance standard BV043 (mounting location III) into a time-history acceleration signal. For an improved design that upgraded the M2.5 pan-head screw fastening structure—which had suffered shear failure during previous environmental testing—to the M4 standard, the structural dynamic characteristics were analyzed via modal analysis, and structural safety under shock conditions was evaluated through a BV043-based transient response analysis. The analysis results showed that a maximum stress of 317.01 MPa occurred in the pan-head screw under the +Y-direction impact condition, while stresses of 108.62 MPa and 188.27 MPa were observed in the antenna base fastening area in the +X and +Z directions, respectively. A positive Margin of Safety (MOS) was secured for all impact directions, verifying the structural integrity of the fastening structure upgraded to M4. Furthermore, it was confirmed that digital twin-based analysis can effectively analyze the stress distribution and impact response characteristics of the fastening area.
