Sports bars offer food and beverages in a lively, casual environment featuring live sports coverage, yet customer behavior in this segment remains underexplored. Because hospitality experiences carry both hedonic and utilitarian value, this study examines how these values affect the relationship quality of sports bar customers—satisfaction, trust, and commitment—and whether brand credibility moderates these relationships. An online survey of sports bar patrons in the United States yielded 484 valid responses, analyzed through confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and multiple-group analysis. Both hedonic and utilitarian values significantly enhanced satisfaction and trust, whereas only hedonic value influenced commitment. Satisfaction predicted trust and commitment, trust predicted commitment, and brand credibility moderated several paths, particularly those involving hedonic value. The findings suggest that operators should prioritize an enjoyable, immersive experience: practical benefits support satisfaction and trust but alone cannot drive repeat visits and commitment. This study contributes by empirically linking customer value and relationship quality in the underexplored sports bar segment.
