This study aims to propose development strategies for career transition education programs for professional dancers in Korea by comparing domestic and international programs from institutional, operational, and financial perspectives. A literature review was conducted focusing on the Dancers’ Career Development Center in Korea, Dancers’ Career Development(DCD) in the United Kingdom, and the Entertainment Community Fund(ECF) in the United States. The findings indicate that Korean programs have relatively limited eligibility criteria, educational programs, and financial structures, whereas international organizations provide broader access, diverse career transition programs, and stable funding through donations, trusts, and funds. Therefore, maintaining the strengths of the Korean system while incorporating the institutional and operational frameworks of international organizations could contribute to the development of both the Dancers’ Career Development Center and its career transition education programs.

본 연구는 국내외 직업전환 교육 사업을 제도적, 운영적, 재정적 측면에서 비교하여 국내 전문무용수 직업전환 교육 사업의 발전방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 전문무용수지원센터와 영국 DCD, 미국 ECF를 중심으로 문헌연구를 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 국내는 지원 대상과 교육 프로그램, 재원 구조가 제한적인 반면 국외는 지원 범위와 프로그램이 다양하고 후원금, 신탁, 펀드 등을 통해 재정을 안정적으로 운영하고 있었다. 따라서 국내 사업의 장점은 유지하면서 국외 기관의 제도와 운영체계를 수용한다면 전문무용수지원센터와 직업전환 교육 사업의 발전을 도모할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
