This paper diagnoses the potential for new relationality and intimacy appearing in Korean novels around the 2020s, traversed by pandemics and social disasters, from a neomaterialist perspective. As a critical alternative to the relationality of “Capitalized Humans” (signs of anthropocentrism, rationality, and patriarchy) who are not free from the crisis of the Anthropocene, the study focuses on “Lowercase Humans” -who are externalized as the weaker party in social, economic, and political hierarchies-and on the formation of “multi-species” relationships between humans and non-humans. The works analyzed are those of Kim Cho-yup (*The Greenhouse at the End of the Earth*, *The Dispatchers*), Choi Jin-young (*Where the Sun Sets*), and Kim Ji-yeon (*A Slightly Failed Love*). Kim Cho-yup’s novels are presented as a post-human alternative that combines object-oriented thinking with female same-sex solidarity through hybrid entities in which humans are combined with fungi, objects, and AI. Choi Jin-young’s disaster novels expose patriarchal family and state communities as disasters more dangerous than viruses, and evoke the post-familial solidarity of female characters as an alternative relationality. Kim Ji-yeon’s novels narrativize realistic scenes in which same-sex and opposite-sex solidarity among lowercase humans is fractured by the grammar of uppercase humans-money and law-leading toward catastrophe. At this point, Kim Ji-yeon translates Haraway’s “Companion Species” manifesto and “knitting solidarity” into Korean reality, demonstrating that what is ultimately required amidst economic instability is intimacy among fragile subjects. In conclusion, this paper evaluates that Korean novels of the 2020s prompt a rethinking of the relationality of “us” in the post- Anthropocene era by narrativizing the multi-directional relationality of multiple species-namely, human-nonhuman hybrid combinations and same- sex solidarity among lowercase humans-amidst the overlapping of affirmation and negation. This is an attempt to interpret the signs of Korean literature that have arrived following the convergence of queer narratives and disaster narratives, within the framework of post-human fusion (post-humanism + postanthropocentrism).

본 논문은 팬데믹과 사회적 재난을 경유한 2020년대 전후의 한국소설에서 나타나는 새로운 관계성과 친밀성의 가능성을 신유물론적 관점에서 진단하고자 한다. 구체적으로 인류세의 위기에서 자유롭지 못한 ‘대문자인간’(인류중심주의․합리성․가부장제의 기호)의 관계성에 대한 비판적 대안으로서, 사회적․경제적․정치적 위계의 약자로 외부화된 ‘소문자인간’들, 그리고 인간-비인간 간의 ‘복수종’적 관계 맺기에 주목한다. 분석 대상은 김초엽의 지구 끝의 온실과 파견자들, 김지연의 조금 망한 사랑을 주요 작품으로 삼는다. 김초엽의 소설은 인간과 균류․사물․AI가 결합하는 혼종체를 통해객체지향적 사유와 여성 동성 연대를 결합한 포스트휴먼적 대안으로 제시된다. 최진영의 재난소설은 가부장적 가족․국가 공동체가 바이러스보다 위험한 재난임을 폭로하고, 여성 인물들의 탈가족주의적 연대를 대안적 관계성으로 호명한다. 김지연의 소설은 소문자인간들의 동성․이성 연대가 돈과 법이라는 대문자인간의 문법에 의해 균열되고 파국으로향하는 현실적 장면을 서사화한다. 이 지점에서 김지연은 해러웨이의 ‘반려종’ 선언과 ‘실뜨기 연대’를 한국적 현실로 번역하여, 경제적 불안정속에서도 끝내 요청되는 것은 연약한 주체들 간의 친밀성임을 보여준다. 결론적으로 본 논문은 2020년대 한국소설이 인간-비인간 혼종 결합과소문자인간들 간의 동성 연대라는 복수종의 다-방향적 관계성을 긍정과부정의 중첩 속에서 서사화함으로써, 포스트-인류세 시대 ‘우리’의 관계성을 재사유하게 한다고 평가한다. 이는 포스트휴먼 융합(포스트-휴머니즘+포스트-인류중심주의)의 차원에서, 퀴어서사와 재난서사의 합종이후 도착한 한국문학의 징후를 독해하려는 시도이다.
