This study explored recurrent counseling issues, their relational structure, differences in the composition of public counseling cases across periods, and institutional interventions in multicultural family counseling cases using text mining. A total of 1,700 counseling cases prepared by multiple counseling and support organizations in Gyeonggi Province and posted on the website of the Gyeonggi Immigration and Social Integration Support Center between 2015 and 2023 were collected, and 227 cases in which family relationships or family functioning constituted the core counseling issue were selected for analysis. Term frequency, document frequency, TF-IDF, co-occurrence network analysis, and community detection were applied to counseling titles and contents, while temporal changes were compared across three periods. Institutional intervention analysis was conducted on 226 cases for which counseling processes and outcomes were available, coding the records into ten intervention categories. Key terms included shelter, divorce, undocumented status, nationality, visa, school, and immigration status. Under the network construction criteria used in this study, four issue clusters emerged.: marital/family transition and stay status; education and family adaptation of immigrant-background children; undocumented status, nationality, and educational rights; and family crisis and protection. In the 2021-2023 public cases, issues related to undocumented status, nationality, educational rights, and children's education accounted for relatively larger shares of the public cases. Institutional responses frequently involved procedural guidance, administrative support, and referrals to schools, immigration offices, police, shelters, and other services, indicating case-management-like features. The findings suggest that multicultural family counseling requires attention to the intersection of relational and psychological issues with legal, educational, and protection-related conditions. Because the data consist of summarized case records prepared by multiple counseling and support organizations in Gyeonggi Province and publicly posted through the Gyeonggi Immigration and Social Integration Support Center website, the findings should be interpreted as recurrent patterns in the public case records rather than as prevalence estimates for multicultural families in general.
