Assessment of Flood Risk and Response Strategies for Industrial Complexes Using GIS-Based Flood Simulation
ABSTRACT Purpose: This research investigates inundation behavior within industrial complexes exposed to extreme rainfall and examines the effectiveness of structural mitigation measures through GIS-based flood modeling. Method: Using ArcGIS Pro, multiple rainfall scenarios (90, 120, and 150 mm/hr) were simulated based on topographic and hydrological datasets. Result: The analysis revealed distinct inundation patterns depending on rainfall intensity, with deeper flooding concentrated in low-lying zones under severe rainfall conditions. The implementation of flood barriers and drainage channels significantly reduced the inundated area by approximately 93%. Conclusion: The results demonstrate that GIS-based flood simulation can support the identification of flood-prone areas and the development of structural mitigation strategies for industrial complexes, providing an effective tool for disaster-response decision-making.
