This study examines the correspondence of the Chinese ‘jiang(將)/ba(把)’ and the Middle Korean ‘daga(다가)’ through an analysis of 『Beonyeok Nogeoldae』 and 『Nogeoldae Eonhae』. Previous studies have generally treated ‘daga(다가)’ as either a connective ending or a postpositional element, while little attention has been paid to its systematic correspondence with the Chinese disposal constructions. All occurrences of ‘jiang(將)/ba(把)’ in the two texts were collected and classified according to their functions as lexical verbs and disposal markers. The analysis shows that when jiang functions as a lexical verb, it is translated by expressions such as ‘gajyeo (‘take’)’, ‘gajigo (‘taking’)’, and ‘gajyeo oda (‘bring’)’, preserving its lexical meaning. By contrast, when ‘jiang(將)/ba(把)’ function as disposal markers, they systematically correspond to ‘daga(다가)’ in Middle Korean. In verbal constructions such as ‘gajyeo-daga’, ‘geondyeonaeyeo-daga’, and ‘itgeo-daga’, ‘daga’ combines with verbs denoting disposal actions. In nominal constructions such as ‘haksaeng-eul-daga’, ‘kongmul-eul-daga’, and ‘dojeog-eul-daga’, ‘daga(다가)’ is attached directly to noun phrases marking the entities affected by the subsequent actions. Furthermore, noun-attached ‘daga(다가)’ is used more consistently in 『Nogeoldae Eonhae』 than in 『Beonyeok Nogeoldae』. This suggests that, as verbal ‘daga(다가)’ came to be perceived as formally identical to the connective ending, translation patterns attaching ‘daga(다가)’ directly to noun phrases denoting the affected entity were preferred. These findings suggest that Middle Korean ‘daga(다가)’ should be understood not merely as a connective ending or a particle but also as a literal translation device and correspondence form reflecting the characteristics of Chinese disposal constructions. Furthermore, the correspondence patterns of ‘daga(다가)’ indicate that Chinese grammatical constructions were systematically rendered in Middle Korean according to consistent translation principles. This suggests that the function of ‘daga(다가)’ in Middle Korean can be more systematically understood by considering not only its language-internal usage but also its correspondence with Chinese grammatical constructions.
