This study examines the trends and discourse structures of Korean research on AI writing and AI storytelling. Research on generative AI now spans education, creative production, authorship, ethics, and human-AI collaboration, yet few studies examine both fields together. Accordingly, 341 Korean-language abstracts indexed in KCI under “AI writing” and “AI storytelling” from 2016 through April 2026 were analyzed. Methods included TF-IDF, Hot/Cold keyword analysis, LDA topic modeling, Word2Vec, and co-word network analysis. The results show that research increased sharply after 2023. Attention shifted from early discussions of film, novels, literature, machines, and the posthuman toward practical concerns involving feedback, learning, instruction, tools, prompts, and revision. The LDA analysis revealed two higher-order axes: education and learning support, and creative and narrative production. The former accounted for 62.3% and centered on feedback, composition, learners, teachers, university writing, assessment, and ethics. The latter accounted for 37.7% and addressed human creativity, authorship, literature, content production and creative responsibility. Word2Vec and co-word analyses showed that human, technology, and narrative in the creative domain were associated with creative agency, authorship, and digital content implementation, whereas learning, tools, and feedback in the educational domain were linked to self-revision, personalized support, school settings, and assessment. These findings indicate that AI writing and AI storytelling are not separate fields but are being reorganized within a shared generative AI environment along two directions: educational and creative applications. By mapping the broad structure of Korean research, this study provides a foundation for future work on AI-based writing education, creative support systems, authorship, and responsibility.
