This study aims to examine how QR codes included in the clothing life education of 5th and 6th-grade elementary school practical arts textbooks, a total of 18 textbooks developed by nine publishers according to the 2022 revised national curriculum, utilizing content analysis. The results of the study are as follows: First, out of a total of 643 QR codes, 123 (19.1%) were in the clothing life section. There wasn’t much difference between grades, but there were variations in the number and ratio of QR codes among the textbooks. Second, QR codes were concentrated on ‘clothing repair’ in 5th grade and ‘making household items’ in 6th grade, and some textbooks presented multiple short videos step by step within a single QR code. Third, the types of materials were heavily focused on video resources showing practice demonstrations, safety elements, and life examples. Fourth, the teaching and learning functions mainly provided practice guidance, and the lesson stages focused on development, with less attention to motivation, inquiry/application, supplementation deepening, and evaluation/summary functions. Fifth, the naming methods of QR codes were classified into purpose-oriented, media type-oriented, learning activity-oriented, and access path-oriented types. Sixth, the way QR code materials were organized and their learning support characteristics were categorized into content repetition type, practice supplement type, and activity extension type. From the above results, we found that QR codes in the area of clothing life are effectively used to visually guide procedural tasks like clothing repairs and making household items, as well as support repetitive learning. However, they were mostly focused on practice videos and procedural steps, so their functions to support conceptual understanding, value exploration, and practical life application haven’t been fully expanded. Therefore, in the future, it will be necessary to balance the use of QR codes across content areas and class stages, diversify types of materials and teaching-learning functions, and establish design standards for QR code names and material organization.

본 연구는 2022 개정 교육과정에 따라 개발된 초등학교 5·6학년 실과 교과서 9종, 총 18권을 대상으로 의생활 영역에 수록된 QR코드의 활용 양상을, 내용분석법을 적용하여 양적, 질적으로 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 전체 QR코드 643개 중 의생활 영역의 QR코드는 123개로 19.1%를 차지하였으며, 학년별 차이는 크지 않았으나 교과서별 수록량과 비율에는 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, QR코드는 5학년의 ‘옷의 수선’과 6학년의 ‘생활용품 만들기’에 집중되었으며, 일부 교과서는 하나의 QR코드에 여러 개의 짧은 동영상을 단계별로 제시하였다. 셋째, 자료 유형은 실습 시연, 실습 시연과 안전 요소, 생활 사례를 포함한 영상자료에 편중되었으며, 넷째, 교수·학습 기능은 실습 안내에, 수업 단계는 전개 단계에 집중되어 있었다. 다섯째, QR코드 명칭 방식은 목적 지향형, 매체 유형형, 학습 활동형, 경로 제시형으로 구분되었고, 여섯째, QR코드 자료의 구성 방식과 학습지원 특성은 내용 반복형, 실습 보완형, 활동 확장형으로 유형화되었다. QR코드의 명칭 방식과 학습지원 특성은 분석 대상 자료를 반복적으로 비교하여 귀납적으로 유형화하였다. 이상의 결과를 통해 의생활 영역의 QR코드는 옷 수선, 생활용품 만들기와 같은 절차적 수행을 시각적으로 안내하고 반복 학습을 지원하는 자료로 활용되고 있음을 확인하였다. 그러나 실습 영상과 전개 단계에 편중되어 개념 이해, 가치 탐구, 생활 적용을 지원하는 기능은 충분히 확대되지 못하였다. 따라서 앞으로는 의생활 내용 영역과 수업 단계별 활용의 균형을 확보하고, 자료 유형과 교수·학습 기능을 다양화하며, QR코드 명칭과 자료 구성에 대한 설계 기준을 마련할 필요가 있다.
