This study examines the workplace not merely as a private sphere in which Christians earn a living, but as a public arena where the common good, organizational culture, resource allocation, conflict, and ethics intersect. From the perspective of Reformed public theology, it analyzes FWIA (Faith and Work Institute for All Nations), a program designed to integrate faith and work. Methodologically, the study combines normative theological analysis with an exploratory case study. It first reviews previous scholarship and the Reformed tradition’s understanding of work and vocation to identify the normative features of the public significance of the workplace. It then examines FWIA’s curriculum and operational model from a Reformed theological perspective and evaluates its contributions. Based on survey responses from 200 participants, this study presents how FWIA influenced their perspectives on work and money, as well as their attitudes in the workplace. Although the reliance on convenience sampling and self-reported data precludes definitive causal claims, this study concludes that FWIA serves as a meaningful educational model for integrating faith and work and for cultivating the public responsibility of Christians in the workplace. Simultaneously, it argues that the program should more actively address structural issues such as organizational power in the workplace, the tension between practical realities and ethical commitments, and the precarious conditions of non-regular workers.

본 연구는 직장을 그리스도인의 사적 생계 공간이 아니라 공공선, 조직문화, 자원 배분, 갈등과 윤리가 교차하는 공적 영역으로 규정하고, 일과 신앙 통합 프로그램인 FWIA(Faith and Work Institute for All Nations)를 개혁파 공공신학의 관점에서 분석한다. 본 연구는 규범적 신학 분석과 탐색적 사례연구를 결합하였다. 먼저 선행연구와 개혁파 전통의 일과 소명에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 직장 공공성의 규범적 특성을 도출하였다. 이어 FWIA 교재와 운영 방식을 개혁신학 관점에서 검토하고 기여점을 평가한다. 이를 위하여 참여자 200명의 설문을 토대로 FWIA가 그들에게 일과 돈에 대한 관점과 직장에서의 태도에 어떤 영향을 주었는지 제시한다. 그러나 본 자료는 편의 표집과 자기보고식 응답에 근거하며 사전-사후 비교나 행동 및 조직 변화의 객관적 지표를 포함하지 않으므로 프로그램의 효과를 인과적으로 입증하지 않는다. 본 연구는 FWIA가 신앙과 직업을 통합하고 직장인의 공적 책임을 훈련하는 유의미한 교육 모델임을 제안하는 동시에, 직장 내 조직 권력, 현실과 윤리의 긴장, 비정규직과 같은 구조적 문제까지 더 적극적으로 다루어야 한다고 주장한다.
