This study reexamines contemporary youth sex education from a biblical perspective and proposes a Christian educational framework and a biblical curriculum for youth sex education. Contemporary approaches, including abstinence-only and comprehensive sexuality education, have contributed to adolescent sexual health but have not adequately addressed the nature and purpose of sexuality, human dignity and humanity’s relationship with God. Through a literature review, this study examines humanity and sexuality within the biblical framework of Creation, Fall, and Redemption and evaluates contemporary sexual culture from a biblical worldview. The findings show that sexuality is God’s gift to human beings created in His image and is intended to be understood within the covenant of marriage. Contemporary sexual issues are understood as the result of a distorted view of humanity and sexuality that departs from God’s created order. Based on these findings, this study proposes that youth sex education should move beyond the transmission of sexual knowledge toward discipleship education that helps adolescents recover their identity in God, understand the body and sexuality according to God’s purpose, and practice these truths in daily life. To this end, the study presents the LIFE(Life-Identity-Flourishing-Everyday Discipleship) Curriculum and an integrated educational model in which families and churches share biblical values and work together in educating youth. This study contributes to Christian education by presenting a biblical curriculum for youth sex education. Future empirical studies on the implementation and effectiveness of the LIFE Curriculum are expected to contribute to the development of biblical youth sex education and Christian education.

본 연구는 현대 청소년 성교육을 성경적 관점에서 재조명하고, 이에 기초한 기독교교육적 방향과 성경적 청소년 성교육 교육과정을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 오늘날 청소년 성교육은 공중보건적 목적을 중심으로 발전해 왔으며, 금욕 중심 성교육과 포괄적 성교육이 대표적으로 시행되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 접근은 성의 본질과 목적, 인간의 존엄성, 그리고 하나님과의 관계를 충분히 설명하지 못하는 한계를 지닌다. 이에 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 성경이 제시하는 창조, 타락, 회복의 관점에서 인간과 성을 고찰하고, 현대 성문화를 성경적 세계관에서 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 성은 하나님의 형상대로 창조된 인간에게 주신 선물이며 결혼 언약 안에서 이해되어야 하는 삶의 영역임을 확인하였다. 또한 현대 성 이슈는 하나님의 창조 질서에서 벗어난 왜곡된 인간 이해의 결과임을 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 청소년 성교육을 성지식 전달이나 행동 통제를 넘어 하나님 안에서 정체성을 회복하고 몸과 성을 창조 목적에 따라 살아가도록 돕는 제자도 교육으로 재구성하였다. 또한 LIFE(Life-Identity-Flourishing-Everyday Discipleship) 교육과정을 개발하여 가정과 교회가 함께 실천하는 통합적 교육 모델을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 성경적 인간 이해와 제자도에 기초한 청소년 성교육 교육과정을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 가지며, 향후 LIFE 교육과정의 현장 적용과 실증 연구를 통해 기독교교육의 발전에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
